Show Ward Observed Mother's Day A very interesting Mother's Day program was given in Sunday Sun-day School ' this week entitled "From a Mother's Diary." Mrs. Gladys Bell was the reader. Each picture was pantomimed by members of the ward. A rose corsage was presented to each mother present. Mrs. Lydia Nielson. of Mt. Emmons, visited Sunday with her sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Hale Holgate. Gary Thompson had a narrow nar-row escape Sunday when the tractor he was driving tipped over. He was pinned under one wheel, but escaped with only a bruised leg. Mrs. Helen Smith is working at the Roosevelt Coffee Shop in Roosevelt. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas M. Gilbert Gil-bert visited Fast Meeting in Myton Sunday. . Mrs. Gladys Ross accompanied Mr and Mrs. Floyd Mecham, of Mt. Home, to Salt Lake on Wednesday of last week; Mr and Mrs. Darrel Josie and Mrs. Joe Josie were over-might over-might guests Friday of Mr. and Mrs. Marion Ross. Miss Pauline Larsen and Miss Ellen Gilbert were Salt Lake visitors during the week Mr and Mrs. Garn Gilbert, and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Gilbert made a trip to Salt Lake Friday to get 'two loads of phosphate for the ehurch farm. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Hor-rocks Hor-rocks and family spent Sunday in Vernal visiting Mrs. Hor-rock's Hor-rock's mother. Mrs.. Elsie Dean Workman. Saturday was a day of labor on the church farm. Eight men. with tractors, plows and other farm machinery, and a number of other men with hammers and shovels, were busy preparing the soil and mending: fences. Dinner was served to the 18 workers by the L D S girls Mrs: Clair Duncan and children, chil-dren, of Neola, spent Mother s Day at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Bird. Mr. and Mrs. Vernal Nielson, Ramona and LaGrand of Myton, My-ton, were callers at the home o Mr. and Mrs. Marvin G. Shields SUMrayand Mrs. S. O. Solomon-son, Solomon-son, of Roosevelt, spent a couple of days at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bird recently. Dinner guests Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Marion Ross were Mr. and Mrs Loryn Ross and family, of Arcadia; Mr and Mrs. Norman Labrum and family, of Roosevelt; Mr and Mrs. Floyd Mecham and children, of Mt. Home; Leon, La'-ry and Lanny Ross, of Arcadia. Ar-cadia. , , Mr. and Mrs. Grant Peel and daughter, of Hanna, spent the weekend at the home of Mrs. Peel's parents, Mr. and Mrs.. R. S. Lusty.
