JENSEN, prominent prom-inent in church and civic affairs, af-fairs, was named the new president of the Roosevelt Lions Club last Thursday nicfht. A former vice-president, he has been filling ihe unexpired term of Howard Ivory, whose work forced his resignation. , Louis A. Jensen, who for the past several months has been acting as president of the Roosevelt Roose-velt Lions Club, last Xnursday was elected to succeed himself : for a full term as head man of tne service organization. He was j elevated from the first vice-pre- iaenl's position to president when Howard Ivory resigned. Members of the club last week heard a former Roosevelt citizen, Marden Broadbent, of the Extension Service, Logan, deliver a brief address in which he admonished people to begin making preparation to get along with each other, and to interest young people to do something for themselves. The next meeting of the club will be on May 29, when Lions from Roosevelt will join Vernal, Ver-nal, Randlett, Myton and Duchesne Du-chesne in a zone party at the local park. Ladies will be guests. Installation of the new officers of-ficers will be prior to July 1. |
