Show i! DEATHS It - WILLIS EDWIN LEWIS Funeral services will be held Saturday, at the Roosevelt Baptist Bap-tist Church at 1 p. m., under the direction of the Rev. William Wil-liam Trow, for Willis Edwin Lewis, 79, who died at the Roosevelt Roos-evelt Hospital Tuesday. Dec. 25, at about 1 p. m., following a lingering illness. He was born May 9, 1872, in New Auburn, Minn., a son of Clinton Russell ' and Electa R. Fuller Lewis. He married Eva Tnmnn AT.. 01 lone- ; jemima uauitra ituv. .l, oau3 ill North Loop, Neb. They came to the Uintah Basin in 1909. ' Surviving are two sons, Dr. R. Guy Lewis, Mobile, Ala., James ' W. Lewis, -Roosevelt; six daughters, daugh-ters, Mrs. Rowena L. Lambert, I Vernal; Mrs. Edna L. Day, Fillmore; Fill-more; Mrs. Minnie L. Angus, I Roosevelt; Mrs. Otey L. Benson, Hyrum; Mrs. Chlora Huntsman, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Utahna Collett, Gardner, Mont.; 29 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; a brother, L. L. Lewis, North Loop, Neb. Friends may call at the Dill-man Dill-man Mortuary Thursday evening, eve-ning, Friday and Saturday prior to the funeral. Burial will be in the Roosevelt cemetery. AMY C. GLENN Funeral services were conducted con-ducted Dec. 21 in the Lindquist and Sons Mortuary Chapel by the Rev. J. E. MacGinnic. rector of the Good Shepherd Episcopal Church, Ogden, for Mrs. Amy Coquella Glenn, 73, former Ogden Og-den resident and mother of Mrs. Vean (Alwilda) Bair, of Roosevelt. Roose-velt. She died in Ely, Nevada, Dec. 18, while visiting with -another daughter. Mrs. Glenn resided in Ogden for nearly 50 years and made her home at 520-2 1st Srteet. She left Ogden two years ago to' reside re-side with a daughter in Ely. In 1900 she was married to William Glenn in Pocatello, He died in Ogden in 1924. Surviving are three daughters: daugh-ters: Mrs. J. E. (Marie) Osborne, Ely; Mrs. Peter (LaRaine) Dar-nele, Dar-nele, Eureka, Nev.. and Mrs. Bair, Roosevelt; and four grandchildren. grand-children. JESSE HUGHES McCARRELL MYTON Funeral services were held Wednesday at 11 a. m. in the Vernal Episcopal Church under the direction of the Rev. Wolf, .for Jesse Hughes McCarrell, 81, who died in Myton My-ton Saturday of causes incident to age. A resident of Myton since 1944, Mr. McCarrell was born Feb. 4, 1870 at Midway, the son of Jesse D. and Jane Clift McCarrell. Mc-Carrell. He lived at Midway until un-til he was 9 years, then subsequently subse-quently was a resident of Wyoming Wyo-ming and the Uintah Basin. He married Hannah Boan, Feb. 24, 1901, in Wyoming. She died several sev-eral years ago. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Nellie Perez, Long Beach, California; two sons, Jesse D., Craig, Colo., and Harmon H. Rock Springs, Wyo.; four sisters, Kate Parker, Myton; Lida Pope, Grand Junction; Dora Goodman, Vernal. ,and Mary Jewctt Rangely; 3 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Burial was in the Vernal cemetery, cem-etery, under the direction of the Dillman Mortuary, of Roosevelt. |
