Show Ron Page Home Is Tops In Christmas Dress Winners of prizes for the best decorated homes and business houses in Roosevelt were an-BOMnced an-BOMnced this week by the judges, jud-ges, with the first prize of $1S on the homes going to Mr. and Mrs. Ron Page, whose home fea tured Santa Claus. his sleigh and reindeer, with clever lighting effects. ef-fects. The second prize of $10 was won by Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Peterson, whose home depicted the silhouetted Christmas scene. "Peace on Earth:" and the third prize, $5, went to Mrs. LaRue Laris, who had an attractive Christmas scene of Santa and his sleigh. In the business section, prices pric-es of the same amount were awarded, with first' place going to the Roosevelt Hotel, whose window portrayed a miniature village at Christmas time. Second Sec-ond prize was won by the Landscape Land-scape Floray-Nursery, which was attractive with a snow man and a "Merry Christmas" lighted with flood lights. Third prize -was won by Uintah Power and Light Company, whose window featured miniature Christmas trees and a "Merry Xmas." Judges for the contest were Rev. Wm. G. Trow of the Baptist Bap-tist Church. Rev. Ignatius Stran-car Stran-car of the Catholic Church, and Hollis G. Hullinger, president of the L D S Stake. They stated that their decisions were made on originality as well as lighting light-ing effects. |
