Show 3 Missionaries Send Greetings Christmas greetings have been received by Ballard Ward members from Orlan Cook, son of John H. Cook, who is laboring labor-ing as an L D S missionary in South Carolina. This is Orlan's second Christmas in the South. Greetings also were received from Max Todd, son of Mr. and Mrs. Russel Todd, who is spending spend-ing his second Christmas in Finland Fin-land as a missionary; and from Glen Eldredge, son of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Eldredge, who is laboring as a - missionary near Boston. We send them Happy Greetings. Mrs. Faulkner, of Fort Duchesne, Du-chesne, has been a substitute teacher at Alterra this past week. Relief Society was held Tuesday, Tues-day, Dec. 18, with Mrs. Spencer Spen-cer Squire giving the literature litera-ture lesson. Mr. and Mrs. Keith Snyder and family, of Altonah. visited Wednesday of last week at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bingham. Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Showells, of Salt Lake City, visited Monday Mon-day at the home of Mr and Mrs. S. B. Kettle and Mr. and Mrs. Elton Kettle. Ralph Betts, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Betts is home to spend ten days with his parents. He is in military service, stationed sta-tioned in California. Lorraine and Dianne Hullinger, Hullin-ger, students at B Y U, are home to spend the Christmas holidays. Cloyd Wiscombe, son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Wiscombe, of Provo, and DeVon Seeley, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Seeley, of Salt Lake City, and Bryce White, came from Provo last week. They had attended the wedding reception of Mr. and I Mrs. Mark Rasmussen in Salt Lake City Wednesday evening. ' Mrs. L. H. Woodward and children, of Vernal, and Mrs. Woodward's daughter and two children, from Montana, called at the home of Mr. and Mr. Jesse Butcher on Dec. 16. Mr. and Mrs. Rex Curry and a friend, from Fort Duchesne, Mrs. Venita Heed, Mrs. Telintho Rasmussen and Mrs. Julenia Butcher met at the Alterra school one afternoon and filled paper bags with candy and nuts for the children's Christmas trpat. |
