The successful and responsible bidders for any lease will be required to pay in advance ad-vance an annual rental of $1.25 per acre, the cost of advertising and a filing fee of $5.00 for each lease contract consummated. Conditional or alternate bids will not be accepted and no drilling propositions will be considered con-sidered as a part of the bonus offer. A deposit of 20 per cent of the bonus bid and 20 per cent of the advance rental for the first year must accompany the bid and be in the form of a certified cer-tified check or bank draft drawn on a solvent bank, payable to the Treasurer of the United States. The sale will be held and the lease executed in accordance with the Act of March 3, 1909 (35 Stat. 781, 783), the Act of May 11, 1938 (52 Stat. 347) and Title 25, C. F. R., Part 189, as amended or supplemented, as to allotted lands and Part 186, as amended or supplemented, supplement-ed, as to tribal lands. Lease form 5-154h will be used for the allotted lease and form 5-157 5-157 will be used for the tribal lease contracts. Failure of the successful bidder bid-der to comply with the terms of the sale and the regulations, will render his deposit laible to forfeiture for-feiture in the discretion of the Commissioner of Indian Affairs. Leases on Tribal lands filed after af-ter 20 days from date of mailing to lessee for execution will be subject to revaluation of bonus, if permission is not granted for an extension of time. Sales will be cancelled and deposits forfeited for-feited at the expiration of the 20-day filing period unless - for good and sufficient reason, an extension of the filing period is granted. The successful bidder on the allotted lands will be required to prepare his own lease and secure the signatures of all Indian owners. The lease must be completed and returned, return-ed, together with all supporting papers, within 30 days from date of award, together with the balance bal-ance of the bonus and rental payments and the $5.00 lease fee. The Superintendent reserves the right, as a condition precedent to the granting of any extended period of time for filing a lease, to require the deposit of any remaining re-maining sums due and owing on the lease, including the balance of the bonus bid and the first year's rental. ! Bids received on tribal lands will be referred to the Uintah and Ouray Tribal Business Committee Com-mittee for their recommendation recommenda-tion as to acceptance or rejection rejec-tion before such bids are re-fered re-fered to the Commissioner of Indian Affairs for final action. The lessee must furnish a satisfactory surety bond as re-! re-! quired by the regulations.
