Show Youth Program Presented Sunday A special program for the L.D.S. youth was given at Sacrament Sac-rament meeting, Sunday afternoon. after-noon. Mrs. Adaline Anderson, stake president of the Y.W. M.I.A., and U. B. Winkler, of the stake presidency, gave time-" time-" ly addresses.- Jean Mecham sang "My Task." Individual awards were presented pre-sented by Bishop Willard B. Mecham to Lawrence Ward, Leonard Ames and Duane Evans. Ev-ans. Mrs. Zella Bennion. president of the ward Y.W.M.I.A., presented present-ed awards to the following girls: Leona Titcomb, Mona Miles, Veretta Gomm, Sheila Evans, Bernice Boswell, Lois Sadler, Gayle Case, Carma Jean Hansen Han-sen and Ann Boswell. A. Theodore Johnson, of Vernal, Ver-nal, regional director of church welfare, was in Mt. Emmons Sunday to meet with members of the Moon Lake stake presidency, presi-dency, ward bishops and others connected with welfare work. Mrs. Hyrum Smith was called to Layton recently when her nephew, George Wall, was seriously ser-iously injured in an accident at school. George, 18 years old, is "- air arthritic patient and -only recently returned to school after several years of illness with the crippling disease. Still on crutches, crut-ches, he was making his way down the cement steps at the school entrance when knocked down by two running girls. He suffered a fractured skull and other injuries and is still in a critical condition at St. Benedict's Bene-dict's hospital, Ogden. George is a native of Mt. Emmons. His parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Wall, lived here for many years. |
