Show M-Men, Gleaners Enjoy Party The M-Men and Gleaners enjoyed en-joyed an evening frolic Monday Mon-day evening. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Detomasi and family, of Orem, visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Angus Anderson Saturday. Spencer Squire and 17 of his Scouts enjoyed a weiner and marshmallow roast on the Peak Monday evening before M.I.A. All but two of the Scouts of that group were in attendance. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Stanley and 'Tex' Ross sang at the funeral fun-eral of the small daughter of Mr. and Mrs Broome of Willow Creek, at Vernal last week. Many from the ward attended funeral services for Bishop Randall Ran-dall Stewart at Roosevelt Saturday, Sat-urday, March 17. Mr. and Mrs Russel Todd were among those who drove to Salt Lake City, where buual took place in the city cemetery. Keith Todd substituted for Glen Allred at Alterra last Friday, Fri-day, and Mrs. Wendel Johnson taught in Clyde Johnson's place on March 12. A group of Relief Society members quilted a beautiful quilt for Mrs. Venita Heed on March 13. Mr. and Mrs. Bert Angus, former members of the ward, are the parents of a baby boy born March 17. Mr. and Mrs. Willie Smith, who have been spending the winter in Arizona, are visiting at the home of their son and daughter-in-law. Mr. and Mrs. Jerald Smith. The Smiths are expecting their son, Floyd, home on fulough before he is shipped to Japan. Mrs. Jesse Hullinger taught in George Thatcher's place at the Ft. Duchesne school all last week. Shanna Bellon, Marie El-dredge, El-dredge, Phyllis and Bryce White, Cloyd Wiscombe, Lynn Bracken, Barbara and Deanne Hullinger, Barbara and Mark Rasmussen, Mrs. Fred Cook and Keith Todd enjoyed a pot-luck supper at the Hullinger home. Mark Angus and Lorraine Hullinger, students at B.Y.U., spent Sunday with home folks. Lynn Bracken, son of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Bracken, spent the week-end in Salt Lake City, enjoying the basketball tournament tourna-ment and visiting with his two sisters and a brothers Mrs. Ollie Rasmussen has been appointed head of the Red Cross drive in Ballard. Each family is asked to contribute $1.00. Miss Eula Mowrey, of Tooele, was a guest at the home of her aunt, Mrs. Angus Anderson, one ' day last week. A group of Scouts, under the supervision of Arvin Bellon, went to Vernal Monday evening, March 12, to play basketball. Mr. and Mrs.., Glen Broder-ick Broder-ick and baby daughter, of Salt Lake City,' have been guests at the home of Mrs. Broderick's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Farrell Rasmussen. Cloyd Wiscombe, son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Wiscombe, spent several days in Salt Lake City and Provo, attending the basketball tournament and visiting vis-iting relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Allred and baby spent Friday and Saturday Satur-day in Salt Lake City and Ogden Og-den Glen went out to attend the basketball tournament. Grant Clark, son of Mr and Mrs L. E. Clark, suffered slight injuries Sunday, Mar. 11, when he fell from a horse. He had ta miss two days of school. |
