Show BASIN BRIEFS Bruce Fitzgerald, of the Fitzgerald Fitz-gerald Tractor Co., Roosevelt, was notified recently by the Ferguson Tractor Co. that he was one of the ten leading dealers deal-ers in the United States in 1949 from the standpoint of sales. . The Ferguson distributor set-up allows an individual territory for each of its dealers. Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Labrum returned Sunday from a vacation vaca-tion trip to Omaha, Neb. Their children stayed with Mr. and Mrs. Mark Bellon, of Spring-ville, Spring-ville, while they were away. Jack Bacon, Gail Alexander, David Alexander, Beverley White and Peggy Oldroyd spent the Labor Day weekend with . friends and relatives in Rich-field. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Halen left Friday to spend a two-week two-week vacation in Victoria, B. C. with their daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Fair-bairn, Fair-bairn, and family. A weiner roast at the power pow-er plant in Uintah conyon was enjoyed Wednesday evening by Mr. and Mrs. Ben Turner, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Olpin, Mr. and Mrs. Dean Frandsen, Mr. and Mrs. Kelly Sprouse, Mr. and Mrs. Evan Olsen, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Betts, Mr. and Mrs. Dick Bastian, Mr. and Mrs. Arden Sullivan, and Mr. and Mrs. Bert Gardner. Bill Lewis returned Tuesday from a two-weeks visit with relatives rel-atives in Nebraska. He also visited vis-ited a few days in Logan before be-fore returning home. Mr. and Mrs. Dean Frandsen, Mr. and Mrs. Norman Clark, Mr. and Mrs. Junior Moysh, Mr. and Mrs. Arden Sullivan, Mr. and Mrs. Duane Hacking, Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Alexander, Dallas Dal-las Nickell and Colleen Alexander Alex-ander enjoyed a no-host party Saturday evening at the power plant in Uinta canyon. Yvonne Fretwell, Joyce Jor-i Jor-i dan, Roosevelt; Hal Helphrey. Wayne Faulkner, Jimmy Sut-teer, Sut-teer, and Joanne Oberhansley, Ft. Duchesne; Jo Anne Griffin, and Nancy Marimon, White-rocks, White-rocks, left last weekend to enroll en-roll again at Wasatch Academy, Mt. Pleasant. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Ivory spent a few days in Salt Lake City during the week. Mr. and Mrs. John Swenson and family visited with relatives rel-atives in Provo and Springville over the Labor Day weekend, returning home Monday evening. eve-ning. Mr. and Mrs. Van Winterton and family spent Sunday in Kamas. Loya Benson flew to Lusk, Wyo., Friday to visit Reid Hul-linger, Hul-linger, who is stationed there. She returned home Monday. Orriene Miller visited in Salt Lake City last week. Mrs. Eva Salmon, of Ogden, was a weekend guest at the home of her sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. J. Harold Eldredge. E. Richens, of Echo, was also a visitor at the Eldredge El-dredge home. Mrs. Bertha Herbert, of Sa-lina, Sa-lina, is a guest at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Dwain Buchanan. Mr. and Mrs. Dick Harsh and family spent the weekend in Salt Lake City and Price. Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Hart and sons, of Duncan, Okla., spent the weekend here with friends. The Harts were former residents resi-dents of Roosevelt, where Mr. Hart was employed with the Texas company. Visitors at the Harold Dill-man Dill-man home during the past week were Mrs. Dillman's father, N. E. Beaird, of Mt. Home. Ark., and her brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Vance Beaird. and family, of Los Angeles, California. ; Dr. and Mrs. R. V. Larson and family . motored to Salt Lake Thursday. Charlotte Muller, of Pennsylvania, Pennsyl-vania, spent four days this week with Dr. and Mrs. Don Johnson. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Marimon, Mari-mon, of Whiterocks, left Thursday Thurs-day to take their son, Bob, to enroll at Occidental collage, near Los Angeles. Bob graduated from Wasatch Academy, Mt. Pleasant in May, where he was one of the school's outstanding athletes. Keith Wardle, HN, who has been stationed at Pier 91 hospital, hos-pital, Seattle, Washington, left August 10 aboard the trooo transport Gen. S. D. Sturgis, presumably headed for Korea. Bonnie Hanson, who has been attending summer quarter at B.Y.U., is spending a short vacation va-cation with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Hanson, before enrolling en-rolling for the fall quarter. Franklin Spencer, Roosevelt high school student, broke his right leg just above the ankle i Wednesday, while scrimmaging in football. He was taken to the Roosevelt Roos-evelt hospital, where the leg was put, in a cast, and released Thursday. |
