Show fiitonah Mrs. Ethel Beebe Mr and Mrs. Harold Ralphs and Mr. and Mrs. Fenton Powell made a trip to Colorado last week. Mr and Mrs. C. N. Shiner spent several days last week in Salt Lake City. Mr and Mrs. R. N. Griffiths and family, of Springville. spent the weekend with Mrs. Griffiths' Grif-fiths' parents, Mr. and Mrs. Chase Watterson. Glade Timothy, Arthur Timothy Timo-thy and Grant Monson were in Palisade, Colo., the first of the week. Chase Watterson was in Heber He-ber Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Beebe and Leo Page visited Wednesday Wednes-day in Vernal. Al Anderson, of Roosevelt, visited Thursday with his parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Anderson. Ander-son. Guests Saturday and Sunday of Mrs. Mary Bowden were Mrs. Charley Bowden and family, of Bonanza; Mrs. Leland Anderson and Mrs. Lowell Jennenis, of Salt Lake City. James Leonakis died Aug. 28 in Roosevelt following an illness ill-ness of several months. He had lived in Altonah about 20 years. Survivors include his widow, Ethel Kavros Leonakis, and two sisters and a . brother. Burial was in Price. Mr. and Mrs. Reed Brazer and daughter, of Grand Valley, Colo., visited Sunday with Bishop Bish-op and Mrs. Lester Maxfield. Mr. and Mrs. Glendon Max-field Max-field and family and Udell All-red All-red made a trip to Price, Sunday. Sun-day. Mr. Maxfield, his daughter, Glenda, and Mr. Allred returned home Monday, while Mrs. Maxfield Max-field and the other children remained re-mained for a longer visit. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Case and daughters, of Granger, spent the weekend with relatives here. Mrs. Clinton Bowden and daughter, daugh-ter, Norita, returned home with them to visit her father, Alma Case. Mrs. Bowden's brother, Amon Case, brought her home the following Saturday. An epidemic of whooping cough seems to have struck Altonah. Al-tonah. Mr. and Mrs. Claude Murray are the proud parents of a baby daughter, born Sept. 1 at the Roosevelt hospital. Ferrel Hatch and Clair Lund, of Upalco, and Nick Killian visited vis-ited here Saturday. Mrs. Chase Watterson left Saturday evening for a month's stay in Grand Lake, Colo. Willard Dump left Sunday to report for the armed services. Mr. and Mrs. Louis Reece and family spent the weekend in Salt Lake City. Phyliss Allred returned home Sunday from a week's visit in Murray with Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Berrett. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Clark have received word of the arrival ar-rival of a grand child, a daughter daugh-ter born last week to Mr. and Mrs. Delmar Ivie, of Strawberry. Straw-berry. Ted Snyder, of Tooele, visited with home folks several days last week. A crowd from here attended the Mutual leadership meeting Sunday night at Mt. Emmons. |
