Show Basin Briefs Enoch Stolla, son of Mr. and Mrs. E. A. Stolla, of Ballard, is an officer of the University of Utah chapter of Intercollegiate Intercolle-giate Knights, a group which ushers at important functions, furnishes officials for elections, U Days, Homecoming, Founders Found-ers Day and Freshman Week, and serves as a welcoming committee com-mittee to greet distinguished visitors. vis-itors. A political science major, Mr. Stolla is a member of Phi Eta Sigma, honorary scholastic society so-ciety for freshmen, and is president presi-dent of the Cosmopolitan club, an organization set up by the sociology department to serve the needs of foreign students attending the University from all parts of the world. Mr. Stolla 'was active in student stu-dent affairs at Alterra high school, and is a navy veteran. President and Mrs. Ray E. Dillman, who are filling missions mis-sions for the L.D.S. church, stationed sta-tioned at Denver, Colo., visited in Roosevelt over the weekend. Mr. Dilman is president of the Western States Mission. A committee composed o f Mrs. Ida Phillips, chairman, and Clyde and Wendal Johnson, has been appointed to outline a program for Alterra high school p a r e n t s' day, scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 19. Mrs. Anthon B. Christensen and son returned Saturday from a 2-week trip to San Diego and Beverley Hills, Calif.. They made the trip with Mrs. Chris-tensen's Chris-tensen's twin brother, L y 1 e Bunker, of Delta, and her mother, moth-er, Mrs. Arthur Bunker, of Springville. Mr- and Mrs. Ruel Edrington motored to Salt Lake City Sunday Sun-day to enter their son, Kay, in the Salt Lake LDS Mission home. Mr. and Mrs. Cliff Fretwell took their daughter, Yvonne, to Mt. Pleasant, Sunday, where she will resume her studies at Wasatch Academy. Mr. and Mrs. William B. Et-ters, Et-ters, nee Mrs. Ann Warnock, are now making their home in Camphill, Penn. Mr. and Mrs. Melvin "Bud" Allred and family, of Salt Lake City, visited during New Years with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Horace Allred. Mr. and Mrs. Theron Leavitr have returned to Roosevelt after af-ter spending the New Years holidays hol-idays with friends and relatives in Las Vegas, Nevada. |
