Following the regular order or-der of business, a tempting lunch was served to Mrs. Chas Sands, Mrs. L. E. Potter Mrs Carlos Clark, Mrs. Wm Preece Mrs. I. R. Tuttle, Mrs. Wesley Brummett and Mrs. W. E Burton. Bur-ton. Mrs. W. H. Linck entertained the Friday Bridge club at her home last week. Present were Mrs. Homer Robinson. Mrs. H. W. Davenport, Mrs. Wm. Preece, Mrs. Floyd Lamb, Miss Alice Todd, Mrs. James Dalgleish and Mrs. Rex Lamb. High score was won by 'Mrs. Davenport. Joan Funk was hostess Saturday Sat-urday afternoon to a group of school friends at the home of her parents, M- and Mrs. Geo. Funk. The occasion celebrated Joan's 12th birthday anniversary. anniver-sary. Games and refreshments were enjoyed by Afton Adams, Carolyn Dennis, Marg-rj Linck, Alice Smith, DeAnna Parrish, Rarr-ona Neilson, Wilda Fay Robinson, Ray Adams, Lynn Morrill. Wesley Brummett, Merrill Mer-rill Wood. Dale Peterson and Alan Todd. Ben Clark returned Friday after af-ter visiting for the past six weeks in San Francisco. Lou Milner. who ha? been in poof health during the past two years, suffered a relapse. Friday. His daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Wallace, Wal-lace, were called from Meeker, Colo., because of his illness. Mr. Milner is now somewhat improved. Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Preece received a telephone call Sunday Sun-day evening from their daughter, daugh-ter, Edith Nell Preece. stationed at Tokyo, Japan, for more than a year. .Floyd Clark, who had been visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Carlos Clark, since his re-cent re-cent discharge from the U. S. Army at Camp Hood, Texas, i left Friday to seek employment I in Salt Lake City. Floyd served j almost three years in the Army, I 13 months of which he was stationed in Korea. Mr. and Mrs. James Dal-gleish Dal-gleish enjoyed a short visit Sunday Sun-day from Mrs. Dalgleish's parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Hart, of Duchesne, and her aunt, Mrs. Eleanor LaBronte, of Salt Lake City Mr. and Mrs. Orval Gillen and children and Norman Hatch went to Murray, Monday evening. eve-ning. Norman, who had made his home with the Gillens since his parents moved to Murray last year, is now joining the family to attend school there. |
