Show Drilling Operations Started At Dluebsll, Ute Tribal tie. 2 Units Two oil drilling ' crews. Pioneer Pi-oneer Drilling Co. and Mountain Moun-tain States Drilling Co., both of Casper, Wyo., are now well established, and presently at work .on the Ute Tribal No. 2 and the Bluebell (Monarch), well, respectively. Twenty men are included in the Pioneer crew, which is now drilling a surface hole at the Tribal No. 2, according to Ernie Robb, toolpusher and director of operations. Mr. Robb said the last of his crew arrived in Roosevelt about a week ago; and will probably remain here for six months or longer. This is the first job in the Roosevelt area for most of the men, although some were here when the Ute Tribal No. 1 was drilled. The 15-member Bluebell (Monarch) crew has just started drilling, and is now setting a conductor pipe, P. L. Frederick, toolpusher, said Wednesday. The last of the men arrived in Roos- evelt Tuesday night. Mountain States' period of stay in Roosevelt Roos-evelt is indefinite. Carter and Stanolind plan to go down at least 9,500 feet at Monarch, to the Basal Green River section; and probably to a similar depth at the Ute Tribal Tri-bal No. 2. Latest reports from Gusher indicate the California Co. is now down to about 8,800 feet, and may go well past 10,000 feet. The Ute Tribal No. 1, which produced 1,663 barrels of oil I daily, through a choke, on its initial tests, is now reported producing 600 barrels daily of light-green oil. Carter, reportedly, has now more than 1,000,000 acres of land under lease throughout the Uintah Basin. |
