Show ML Emmons Deane Case Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Hartman, Mr. and Mrs. Fay Reay, and Mr. and Mrs. Ned Mitchell Attended Attend-ed the annual election of the Uintah Dairy Association held March 11 in Vernal. In addition to the election of officers, a social so-cial was enjoyed by the members mem-bers and their families. Mr. Hartman was re-elected to the board of directors. Mr. and Mrs. Waldo Hansen were in Salt Lake during the week to attend a reunion at the home of their parents, Mr. and Mrs, Lewis Hansen. Purpose Pur-pose of the family get-to-gether was to bid farewell to another brother, Merrell, and his family, fam-ily, who are leaving to make their home in California. Mr. and Mrs. J, M. Wirthlin visited relatives in Salt Lake last week. Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Boswell, who have been living at Orem for the past two years, have moved to Ogdeh. Leslie is employed em-ployed in an Ogden garage. Blaine Hall, of Salt Lake, a cousin of Mrs. Grant Hansen, is spending a month at the Hansen Han-sen home to assist with the spring farm wprk. Mr- and Mrs. 'Delmar Mechlin and two small children returned Sunday from a trip to Idaho and Oregon. At Jerome, Ida., they viaitud Delmar's brother, Wayne, and his family. Harold Jones, of Malad, Ida., arrived Tuesday of last week to get his wife and children who had spent two weeks with Mrs. Jones' parents, Mr. and Mrs. L. W. Rust. College students home for the Wpekfintl were Lorraine Das-trup, Das-trup, Erwin Rust, Parker Oomra and Bryant Gomm, of U.S.A.C, and Peggy Ann Case, of B.Y.U. A few friends Staged a birthday birth-day surprise party for Mrs. Ray Hanberg, Saturday evening at her home. Refreshments were brought by the self-invited guests and a pleasant time was spent with supper and games. Participating' in the evening's fun were Mr. and Mrs. Hanberg, Han-berg, Mr. and Mrs. Leslie J. Orr, Mr. and Mrs. Volney Boswell, Bos-well, and Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Wall. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Dastrup, of Ogden, were guests last week of their sons and daughters-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. LaFarge Dastrup Das-trup and Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Dastrup. Saturday dinner guests at the Edgar Miles home were Mr. and Mrs. Lavon Atwood, of Bluebell, Blue-bell, and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Miles, of Roosevelt. Officials of the Moon Lake Electric association attended a special meeting of the R.E.A., Friday and Saturday in Portland, Port-land, Oregon. Problems of the local cooperative were presented, present-ed, . and a request made for funds to construct additional lines. Making the trip were Louis Lou-is Reese, manager; Wm. Field-sted, Field-sted, president of the board; Ray Brown, board member; and Harold Fowler, of the office force. A flu epidemic hit the Mt. Emmons area during the past week. Among those afflicted were Mrs. Maurice Marchant, Mrs. Leslie J. Orr, Glendon Guyman, Farrell Mohlman and Gordon Case. Most of the residents of Mt. Emmons and some former members mem-bers turned out Friday evening for the annual ward reunion. A program, supper and old-time dancing were enjoyed by young and old. Among the oldsters who set the pace for the square dances were Chester H. Hartman, Hart-man, E. W. Crosby and F. Earl 'Case. Music was furnished by Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Thacker and their daughter, Mrs. Patty Richards. The Relief Society cooperated co-operated with the Bishopric in arranging the party. |
