Show Mr. and Mrs. L. A. Jenkins i and son, Dennis, are leaving Friday for a vacation trip, planning to drive to Manti first to' get Mrs. Jenkin's parents, Mr and Mrs. I. S. Eksund, who will accompany them to Helena, Montana, to visit relatives. They also plan to tour Glacier National Na-tional Park befire returning-home. returning-home. Elaine Anderton, small daughter daugh-ter of Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Anderton, An-derton, was injured during the U B I C when she fell from the play-bars and crushed her elbow. el-bow. She was taken to Salt Lake for .treatment. Relatives at the Marvin Old-royd Old-royd home last weekend were Mr. and Mrs. Richard Gurr and family, from Boise, Idaho. Mrs. Gurr is Mrs. Oldroyd's sister. Leaving this week for a vacation vaca-tion trip were Mr. and Mrs. Anthon Chtistensen and son, Douglas. They plan to visit at Afton, Wyoming, with Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Nelson, formerly of Roosevelt, who will accompany accom-pany them to Yellowstone Park. They plan to be gone a week. Mr. and Mrs. Venil Johnson and family left Wednesday of last week to meet Mrs. Johnson's John-son's brother, Parley Otis Rose, who has returned fram a 2Vz-year 2Vz-year mission to the Far East and Holland. He also toured Europe before erturning home. A family reunion was held at Morgan. Charles and Vernon Edwards motored to Las Vegas, Nevada, last week to attend funeral services ser-vices for their brother-in-law, Frank Hague, who passed away at his home in Grants Pass, Oregon, on August 2. Mrs. Pearl Edwards, of Salt Lake City, accompanied her sons to Nevada. , Mrs. George B. Wallace and daughter, Joan, were guests at the Cliff Memmott home during the U B I C celebration. Mr. Wallace joined them Friday, and Saturday the Wallaces accompanied ac-companied the Memmotts to "The Homestead" near Heber City, where a press meeting was being held. , Kent Memmott accompanied the Wallaces to their home in Price for a week's visit. Mr. and Mrs. -Lamar (Sandy) Richman, of Tooele, spent the weekend here as guests of Sandy's San-dy's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer El-mer Richman. - Visiting last week at the R. S. Jordan home were Mrs. Jordan's Jor-dan's sister, Mrs. A. C. Harm-ston, Harm-ston, of Ogden, and Mrs. Harm-ston's Harm-ston's daughter, Mrs. Ellen Hun-saker, Hun-saker, and son, Leon, of Brig-ham Brig-ham City. Commander and Mrs. Stanley Orser and children arrived last week from San Diego, Calif, for a brief visit at the Orser home enroute to Kansas, where Commander Com-mander Orser will attend a Commanding Officers' College at Ft. Leavenworth. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Boyer returned to their home in Salt Lake City last Saturday, after spending several days at the George Pulos home. They were accompanied to their home by Maria Pulos, Gay Patry, Beoma Young and Carol Memmott, who visited in Salt Lake until Wednesday. Sgt. Wm. Norman and Sgt. Russell Wire, of Lowry Field Air Force Base, were weekend guests at the A. L. Norman home. Mr. and Mrs. Orman Wilkins, of Washington, Utah, arrived last week to spend a few days at the T. A. Sullivan home. They are Mrs. Sullivan's parents, par-ents, and resided in the Basin for 17 years. Mrs. Theron Leavitt returned Wednesday night from Salt Lake City, where she had been receiving medical treatment for the past several days. Approximately 65 boys, girls and chaperones from the two Roosevelt L D S wards participated partici-pated in a temple excursion to Salt Lake City Wednesday. Besides Be-sides doing baptisms in the Salt Lake Temple, the group toured the tabernacle grounds and went through the museum. They also enjoyed a dinner at the Doll House. Martha Shanks was in charge of arrangements for the excursion. Mrs. Lynn Labrum and children, chil-dren, Diana, David and Bill, accompanied by her mother, Mrs. J. J. Miller, drove to Springville and Salt Lake City Monday. Mrs. Miller, who resides re-sides in Springville, had been here visiting. Mrs. Labrum's sister, Mrs. Mark Bellon, of Sandy, returned home with her for a brief visit. Mrs. Amelia Amacher, accompanied ac-companied by her son and daughter-in-law, Major and Mrs. Aaron Amacher, and their two children, arrived Tuesday from Germany to visit Mrs. Ama-cher's Ama-cher's daughter, Mrs. Vere Johnson, John-son, and family. The Johnsons and Amachers left today for Logan Lo-gan to visit friends and relatives. rela-tives. Major Amacher will later leave for his new post in the United States at Fort Sill, Oklahoma. Pleasant, arrived in Roosevelt on Wednesday Wednes-day of last week to attend the U B I C celebration and the Ute Indian Sun Dance. While here they were guests of Wm. H. Ruppel and family and of Mrs. Irene Fretwell and Yvonne. Dr. and Mrs. Bert Madsen and daughters, Lynn and Tommy, Tom-my, of Mt. Pleasant, drove out Sunday to attend the Sun Dance and to take their sister, Nell, and their daughter, Bobby, home. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Wis-combe, Wis-combe, of Provo, attended the UBIC celebration here last week. Their son, Cpt. Raymond Wis-combe, Wis-combe, who' is in the Marina Reserves, will leave August 20 for Korea. He flies helicopters. Another son, Cloyd, is in the Coast Guard, stationed at San Francisco. Seemed natural to see the Howard Ivorys in town. They were UBIC visitors.. Mr. Ivory is leaving by plane for Albuquerque Albu-querque and will go further east on business in connection with his work.
