M., AUGUST 28, 1952 Sealed bids will be received at the Uintah and Ouray Agency, Ag-ency, Fort Duchesne, Utah, until 2:00 p. m., August 28, 1952, for Oil and Gas mining leases on the following described in dividually allotted restricted Indian lands, located within the jurisdiction of the Uintah and Ouray Indian Reservation, in Uintah County, State of Utah, all of which lands as hereafter described are within the Salt Lake Base and Meridian Survey, and contain 337.67 acres more or less, to wit: Unit Alotfee & No. Description Acreage 1. (Patent issued Sept. 18, 1917) 85.75 Each unit is offered for separate sep-arate lease, for a cash bonus in additioh to the stipulated royalties royal-ties and rental of $1.25 per acre per annum. The successful and responsible bidders for any lease will be required to pay in advance ad-vance an annual rental of $1.25 per acre, the cost of advertising and a filing fee of $5.00 for each lease contract consummated. consummat-ed. In addition to the filing fee of $5.00 for each lease contract, an additional fee of 15c per acre will be charged as a processing pro-cessing cost of making the lease and clerical service attendant thereto. Successful bidders will be required to deposit such fees in proportion to the acreages obtained ob-tained on their bids and before leases are drawn. A deposit of 20 per cent of the bonus bid and 20 per cent of the advance rental rent-al for the first year must accom pany the bid and be in the form of a certified check or bank draft drawn on a solvent bank, payable to the Treasurer of the United States. Conditional or alternate bids will not be accepted and no drilling propositions will be considered con-sidered as a part of the bonus offer. The sale will be held and the leases executed in accordance with the Act of March 3, 1909 (35 Stat. 781, 783), and C.F.R., Title 25-Indians, Part 189, as I amended or supplemented. Leasa Form 5-154h will be used. The lands are offered subject to the execution of the leases by the adult individual Indian owners. own-ers. The right is reserved by the Commissioner to reject any or all bids and to disapprove any lease made on an accepted bid Should any bid be rejected after a deposit is made, through no fault of the bidder, all moneys deposited shall be returned. Failure of the successful bidder bid-der to comply with the terms of the sale and the regulations, will render his deposit liable to forfeiture in the discretion o the Commissioner of Indian Affairs. The successful success-ful bidders will be required to secure the signatures of all Indian In-dian owners. The leases must be completed and returned, together to-gether with all supporting papers pa-pers and the remaining sums due and owing, within 30 days from date of mailing to lessee for execution. An additional period per-iod of time will be granted for good and sufficient reason tjpon request made prior to the expiration ex-piration of the ordinal 30 -day period. The Superintendent reserves re-serves the right, as a condition precedent to the granting of any extended period of time for filing a lease, to require the deposit de-posit of any remaining i sums due and owing1 on the lease, including the balance of the bonus bid and the first year's' rental. The lessee must furnish a sat isfactory surety bond as re quired by the regulations. All bids must be marked on the outside of the envelope, "Bid on Oil and Gas Lease(s); Allotted Indian Lands, not to be opened until 2:00 o'clock P. M., August 28, 1952." HARRY W. GILMORE. Supt.
