Show SOCIETY Peggy Oldroyd, Society Reporter ALTRUS Altrus club held its last meeting meet-ing of the current season Thursday Thurs-day evening, June 1, at the home of Mrs. Jesse Allen in Pleasant Valley, Mrs. Louis Jensen entertained the group with a delightful review re-view of the book, "The Thin Silver Dollar," after which Mrs. Axel Birch, club president, directed di-rected installation of officers for the ensuing year as follows: Mrs. Paul Nelson, president; Mrs. Omni Winterton, vice president; Mrs. John Swenson, secretary-treasurer. BRIDGETTE Mrs. Clem Labrum was hostess host-ess to eight members of Brid-gette Brid-gette club at a delightful dessert luncheon at her home last Thursday evening, . , Two tables were arranged for bridge, following luncheon. Prizes Priz-es went to Mrs. Steve Bellon, Mrs. Marvell Neilson, Mrs. Orson Or-son Stevens, and Mrs. Mont Kil-lian. Kil-lian. NEIGHBORHOOD SEWING Luncheon and an evening of cards provided pleasant relaxation relax-ation for eleven members of Neighborhood Sewing club when they met Wednesday evening, eve-ning, May 31, at the home of Mrs. Merlin Killpack. TUESDAY BRIDGE " Bouquets of carnations, intermingled in-termingled with columbine formed form-ed the focal point of the decorations decor-ations at the party given by Mrs. Robert Huish at her home on June 6. Four tables were beautifully arranged for luncheon, followed by an evening of bridge. Prizes were won by Mrs. Paul Wilkins, Mrs. Earl Dillman, and Mrs. Dale Belcher. v |
