Show Randlett Viola Jensen Farewell Party A farewell party was held Friday Fri-day evening in honor of Quint Pickup, who left Tuesday to join the armed services. Dancing was enjoyed to the music of Mr. and Mrs. Parley Rawlings. Grant Jar-man Jar-man acted as master of ceremonies ceremon-ies and the following program was enjoyed: solo, by Carma Pickup, Pick-up, accompanied by Rhea Pickup; duet, Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Jensen, Mr. Jensen played his guitar for accompaniment. Ice cream and cake were served to everyone. Beatrice and Mortin Chandler spent the weekend visiting their parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Chandler. Calvin Jorgensen, Deloss Searles and LaRue Pickup went to Salt Lake City last week and met with the State Road Commission. PRESENT PROGRAM Tuesday evening the Beehive girls presented skits from their reading course before the entire MIA. Then during class period the girls served the MIA officers and their parents root beer floats. Mrs. Lula Dudley is their leader. Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Searles are the proud parents of a baby boy, born May 26 at the Uintah Basin Hospital. Mrs. Norma Marshall is caring for the other Searles children. BIRTHDAY PARTY The Seagull girls and their leader, Leah Chandler, entertained Cheree Brough and Sybil Turner at a birthday party. Weiners were roasted and games were played. UNION GRADUATES Students graduating from the Union High School Thursday evening eve-ning were: Robert Dudley, Gale Wilcken and Richard Durfee. Mr. and Mrs. F. L. Naylor, of Clearfield, spent the weekend visiting vis-iting at the home of their daughter daugh-ter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Taylor. ATTEND SWARM NIGHT Beehive girls attending the stake Beehive Swarm night Friday evening eve-ning were: Janet Brough, Janet Durfee, Irene Jensen, Shirley Pickup Pick-up and Carolyn Stoddard: Parents Par-ents atending were: Bishop and Mrs. Ralph Durfee, Mr. and Mrs. Bert Stoddard, Mrs. Eugenia Pickup Pick-up and Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Jensen, Mrs. Nola Stoddard, of Salt Lake City, arrived Saturday to visit her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Bert Stoddard. Mr. and Mrs. Sheldon J. Lewis attended the funeral of Ronald J. Southam, the infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Willis Southam of Naples, Sunday afternoon. Mrs. Jean Stoddard took all the Beehive girls to Roosevelt, Saturday Sat-urday to receive their medical examinations ex-aminations for their encampment trip. Melva and Vern Jorgensen, of Salt Lake City, spent the weekend visiting their father, Oliver Jorgensen, Jor-gensen, and brother, Ervin Jorgensen. Jor-gensen. Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Jensen, of Salt Lake City, spent the weekend week-end visiting relatives here. Mr. and Mrs. Richard O'Neil and family, of Price, spent the weekend visiting relatives here. Mr. and Mrs. Van Jensen and daughter, Lydia, and Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Jensen and son, Larry and daughter, ' Connie, of Salt Lake, were weekend visitors at the Edgar Ed-gar Jensen home. Mr. and Mrs. Norman Rogers and family, of Salt Lake City, visited vis-ited with relatives here over the weekend. Claude McMullin, of Worland, Wyo., and Kenneth Harris and daughter, LaRue, of Salt Lake, were weekend visitors at the Frank McMullin home. Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Moore and family, of Salt Lake City, spent the weekend visiting relatives rela-tives here. Stake visitors attending Sunday School were: Pres. Hollis G. Hullinger Hul-linger and Rulon Anderton. ' Students home from the BYU were Lyle Pickup and Larry Dudley. Dud-ley. Mr. and Mrs. Byron Bolton and son, of Roosevelt, spent Sunday afternoon visiting at the home of Mrs. Bolton's parents, Bishop and Mrs. Ralph Durfee. Mr. and Mrs. Bolton attended Sacrament meeting meet-ing here Sunday evening.
