Show Awards Given To Beehive Girls At Swarm flight Beehive girls from all wards in the Roosevelt LDS stake participated partici-pated in the stake Beehive Swarm night last Friday, under the direction direc-tion of the stake Beehive leaders, Leah Allred and Inez Squire. Awards were presented to first and second year Beehive girls, as well as to Honor Bees. A special award was received by Eleanor Johnson of Myton, who has completed com-pleted all her requirements, although al-though she has been confined to her home with illness most of the time. President Hollis G. Hul-linger Hul-linger presented this award; and Blanche Murphy, YWMIA president, presi-dent, presented the Honor Bee awards; and Lea Allred and Inez Squire, stake Bee Keepers, presented pre-sented the first and second year awards. The following program ' took place: flag ceremony, Ioka ward; opening prayer, Janice Powell; MIA theme, Moffat ward; flower ceremony, Roosevelt ward and Roosevelt 1st ward 1st year girls; Honey Uatnerer s bong, rirst year girls; piano solo, Roseann Olsen, Neola; dramatization of Book of the Month, Roosevelt 3rd ward 2nd year girls; Hive Building Ceremony, Cer-emony, Roosevelt 3rd, Roosevelt 4th and Roosevelt ward 2nd year girls; skit, Ballard ward; piano solo, Jerraldine Denver; remarks, President Hullinger; Call of Womanhood, Wo-manhood, all Beehive girls; colors retrieved, Ioka ward; closing prayer, Carolyn Hunt, Refreshments were served and those attending viewed the quilts on display, made by the Beehive girls. The 4th ward Beehive girls presented their quilt to Dora Curry Cur-ry for her outstanding work accomplished ac-complished with the young people. |
