Show County Agents i To Discuss Farm Safety Work County agricultural agents will discuss the work they do in promoting better farm safety at the Western Safety conference confer-ence to be held in Salt Lake City on June 21-23, it was announced an-nounced today by officials at the Utah State Agricultural college. col-lege. The agents will tell how they work to carry farm safety to the rural people, some of the successes they have had, the big obstacles that confront a good farm safety program and their recommendations for better farm safety. The panel discussion will be presented by Thelma Huber, director di-rector of extension home economics; eco-nomics; Louis A. Jensen, Duchesne Du-chesne county agent: Joseph Coulam, extension agricultural engineer; Lamont E. . Tueller, Cache county agent, and Miss Ann Yonker, Logan, national 4-H winner in safety contest. Dr. Carl Frischknecht, director direct-or of the college extension service, ser-vice, will also address the conference con-ference on "Farm Safety from the Extension Worker's Point of View." " Lowell J. Farmer, Forest Ser vice, Ogden, is conference chairman chair-man of the farm safety division and he reports that other topics treated will include traffic, safety, safe-ty, industrial, home, utilities, aviation, mining, gas and petroleum, petrol-eum, railroads and - transport safety. Two thousand people from 11 western states are expected ex-pected to attend the safety conference, con-ference, he reported. |
