Show -Arcadia Cecelia Gilbert Three Wards Celebrate July 24 An enjoyable day of celebration was held at Duchresne the 24th of July. Members of the Arcadia, Bridgeland and Strawberry wards joined in games, barbeque, rodeo activities and a watermellon bust. In the evening ladies and gents softball games were enjoyed followed fol-lowed by a marshmellow roast. The events were held at the Duchesne Du-chesne city park. SCOUT HIKE Under the supervision of their leader, Arden Evans, Arcadia scout troop 259 hiked to the top of Indian Canyon Wednesday, July 22. The scouts participating in the hike were Laird and Baird Evans, Evan Lusty, Tommy Hamilton, Hamil-ton, Leon Ross and Roland Cap-son. Cap-son. Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Horrocks and daughter, Shelly visited at the Thomas Gilbert home and with other relatives Wednesday. 4-H CLUB TRIP The girls' 4-H Club, Frying Pan Flappers, with supervisors, Marsha Lusty and Eleanor Capson and Mrs. Ora Holgate as chaperon, attended the 3-day 4-H camp at Wolf Crek. Lucy Lusty, Mary Ellen Evans, Rosalie Gilbert and guests Jeanne Gilbert of Duchesne and Gloria and Janet Holgate of Salt Lake were the girls participating in the event. Barara Gilbert took the girls up to Wolf Crek and Mr. and Mrs. Scott Lusty went up and brought them back. Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Laube spent the 24th with the Steve Hamilton family. The Laubes-are relatives of Mrs. Hamilton from Salt Lake. Mr. and Mrs. R. S. Lusty with their grand daughter,. Elaine Gilbert, Gil-bert, spent Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. La von Horrocks and daughters at Rangely, Colo? Mrs Milton Poulson of Duchesne spent Wednesday quilting at the home of her mother, Mrs. Vera Larsen. |
