Show Bob Chapoose On Ail-American Team Big Robert Chapoose, a giant tackle for Union High School several sev-eral seasons back and now a line bulwark for Sarkis Arslanian's Dixie College crew, has been named an "All-American" junior college gridder. Chapoose. a 6-foot 4-inch, 230-pound 230-pound full-blood Indian who played play-ed under Coach Arslanian at Union, thus becomes an automatic automa-tic selection to play in the east-west east-west Junior College all-star game at Jackson, Mississippi, Dec. 14. Chapoose's play is one of the reasons for Dixie's most successful success-ful grid season in its history. It tied for championship honors in the Intermountain Collegiate Athletic Ath-letic Conference and also defeat-Ricks defeat-Ricks something it had never been able to da and also toppled Southern Utah for the first time in 10 years. Chapoose, after graduating from Union, played service football, in Korea and then followed his former form-er coach to Dixie two years ago. His home is at Alterra. |
