Show An announcement from the Gene C. Powells in Ana heim, Calif., revealed that their new son arrived Wednesday, Nov. 14, at the Cottage Hospital in Fuller-ton, Fuller-ton, Calif., tipping the scales at 6 lbs. 12 oz. He answers to "Kyle Eldredge Powell," and has already made acquaintance with his grandmother, grand-mother, Mrs. J. Harold Eldredge, who has been helping to care for him since his return from the hospital. Of interest to many in this vicinity is the announcement of a new baby daughter, born to Mr. and Mrs. Paul Barton of Bountiful. The little fellow weighed 8Y2 pounds. Mr. Barton was a member of Union High School faculty last year. Mr. and Mrs. John Swenson and family were Springville and Provo visitors during the Thanksgiving holidays. Dinner guests at the Theron Leavitt home on Thanksgiving were Mrs. Ruby Allred, Mrs. Beryl Root and children, Mr. and Mrs. Cliff Memmott and son, Kent, and Bob Greeley. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Dillman and family- spent the Thanksgiving holidays in Salt Lake City with Mrs. Dillman's relatives. Mrs. Ethel Brown and daughter, Dolores, returned home Sunday evening after Dolores had spent a week in California, and Mrs. Brown, a week in Salt Lake City. Dolores visited with her sister and brother-in-law, Darlene and Jerry Van, and also with her fiance, Freddie Grunewald. Rev. Francis Pelegrino was a dinner 'guest on Thanksgiving at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Orlie Rachele. Enjoying Thankgiving dinner at' the Wesley R. Dickerson home last week were the following relatives from Provo: Mrs. H. E. Farr and son, Darrell, mother and brother of Mrs. Dickerson, Mr. and Mrs. Clair Lloyd, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Rasmussen and family and Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Clayson and family-Visiting with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Cliff Angus, is Mrs. (Shirley) W. C. Stroup and daughter, daugh-ter, Sharon Cristine. 'The four-month four-month old daughter was blessed at the Roosevelt Ward sacrament meeting Sunday. Mrs. Stroup and daughter will remain here until Dec. 10, and will then ,go to Calgary, Cal-gary, Canada, where they will reside. re-side. Mr. Stroup is employed by an oil -company. Dinner guests Thanksgiving at the Rex Curry home were their daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Showalter of Logan, and Mr. and Mrs. Lee Allred and family. The Showalters left Monday Mon-day to resume studies at the AC. Thanksgiving Day guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Spencer Bowden, west of Roosevelt, were her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Abe Elder and her sisters, Merline and Bonnie, all of Torrance, Calif.; her brother and family, Mr. and Mrs. Duane Elder of Orem; Jim Mondon of Torrance; Mr. Bow-den's Bow-den's mother, Mrs. Annie Bowden of Roosevelt, and Mr. and Mrs. Scott Rafferty of Roosevelt. Mr. and Mrs. Karl Hutchinson and family spent the Thanksgiving holidays in Idaho. Mr. and Mrs. David Wilson and family and Larry Wilson, students at the BYU, spent the Thanksgiving Thanks-giving holiday with their father, Seth Wilson. A sumptuous dinner was enjoyed at the Wilson home Thursday, and on Friday the group were dinner guests at the Omni Winterton home. Mr. and Mrs. Lester Kerr and children of Rock River, Wyo, enjoyed en-joyed Thanksgiving dinner with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Clar-ence Crow. The Kerrs were en-route en-route to Kansas to visit with Mr. Kerr's relatives. Mrs. Robert Huish, Mrs. Bennie Schmiett and Mrs. Gordon Harm-ston Harm-ston spent a few days this week in Salt Lake City. I Rev. Francis Pellegrino and Johnny Wogec returned home last week after a week's vacation trip to California. Rev. Pellegrino visited vis-ited his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Pellegrino in Carmichael. Twins, Erma and Eva Eldredge, of Salt Lake City spent Thanksgiving Thanks-giving with their father J. Harold Eldredge. They were accompanied by Miss Charlene Stone of Ioka, who enjoyed the holidays with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Garrett Stone. Visitors at the Theo Phillips home Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Nelson of Spanish Fork and Mr. and Mrs. Boyack of Idaho. The Nelsons were early pioneers of the Basin. Business visitors in Roosevelt this week are Mr. and Mrs. J.. V. McLea of Glendale, Calif. The McLeas have recently moved into their new home and are enjoying sunny California immensely. They are guests of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Harmston. Arriving from Salem, Virginia, last Monday to visit at the George Taylor home was his daughter, Mrs. Barbara Kelly. Thanksgiving weekend guests at the Van Winterton residence were Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Winterton, accompanied by Jack Corbett and Dion Skipper, both of North Carolina, Caro-lina, who are attending the BYU. |
