Show Honored At Dinner The American Legion and the Auxiliary gave a banquet in the Legion Hall Nov. 17 in honor of the Girls and Boys State delegates, Junior baseball team and the oratorical ora-torical contestants and their parents, par-ents, and all who contributed in buying baseball suits. The evening was spent in a program and playing play-ing bingo. Don Nyberg was the master of ceremonies. Ninety people were present. Mr. and Mrs. Pervancel Clark and family of Bonanza spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Bowden. Wilmer Murray and sons, Dewey and Jerry, and LeRoy Tohonnie of Myton spent Sunday afternoon at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lester Maxfield. They came to see Perry before he left for the Army. Mr. and Mrs. Von Timothy and Charley Timothy of Bonanza were in Altonah over the weekend to visit their brother, Jim, who is ill, and other relatives. Rex and Ruth Allred who are employed in Rangely were here over the weekend. Rex returned to work Sunday while Ruth stayed home to look after her mother, Mrs. Ralph Allred, who has been ill Mr. and Mrs. Grant Monsen and family spent Thanskgiving weekend week-end with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ira Winkler in Salt Lake. Mr., and Mrs. Lester Maxfiled and son, Perry, attended Sacrament Sacra-ment meeting in Boneta Nov. 18. |
