Show rVlyton uiiiapel Was Ucene Of Party For hSyton Indians Indians irom Myton, Bridge-land Bridge-land anu Arcadia nad a Christmas Christ-mas party in tne Myton L D S Ward Chapel Thursday, Dec. I, under the direction of Syeri Dennis, Indian Mission district president, and his missionaries, Mr. and Mrs. Alma Smith, Milton Mil-ton Ricks, Earl Murray and El-vin El-vin Bascom. The following Indian committee commit-tee was in charge: Buster and Etta McCurdy, Josie Pope, Bab alynn Aarurh and Juanita Groves. They arranged and planned the program. A pageant, "The Story of Jesus," with many Christmas carols, was presented with characters char-acters as follows: Joseph, George Conetah; Mary, Eva Myore; Angel, An-gel, Eva Nell Nick; Shepherds. Stewart Pike, Rita Alice Red-foot Red-foot and Alvin Pennecoose.: wisemen, Vaughn Pike, Harold Groves, Rodrecka Pope; reader. Juanita Groves. An Indian dance was present ed by Vaughn and Stewart Pike. The program was announce: by Etta McCurdy and a tree wai furnished by George Conetah and Harold Groves, while Oscai John portrayed Santa Claus anc delivered his gifts of candy, nuts and oranges, which wer-donated wer-donated by the Indians and missionaries. All who participated on thx program were Indians. The committee deserves much praise for their endeavors. Those who assisted the Indians with the program were Mrs. Syer Dennis, who furnished the piant selections, and Mrs. Willarc Smith, who arranged the stage and costumes. This program was for the Indian In-dian people with only a few in-j in-j vited guests. Special guest ' were President James E. Ba ! con of the Indian mission; Presi-ident Presi-ident Hale Holgate of thP Du chesne Stake, and the memberr of the Myton Ward Bishopric The program was opened and closed with prayer, with Ear. Murray giving the invocation, and Alma Smith pronouncing the benediction. |
