Show LDUP i-gas 175 eee ting The D U P held its regular meeting Wednesday afternoon in connection with a Christmas party at the home of Mrs. Helen Palm. The lesson was given by Mrs. Nancy Bristol, after which Bingo was played, gifts wers exchanged and refreshments were enjoyed by the following members: Mrs. Margaret Maxfield, Mrs. Mai km Reese, Mrs. Mary Car-roil, Car-roil, Mrs. Mary Riley, Mrs. Mary Dump, Mrs. Lola Jones, Mrs. Louise Case, Mrs. Emma Anderson, Ander-son, Mrs. Velda Burgess and Mrs. Iiez Ames. Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Weeks and family spent last weekend with their son and daughter-in-law. Mr. and Mrs. James Weeks and family. Sunday they visited with Mrs. Week's father, James McAfee at Woodcross. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Clark accompanied their son, Bill, from Tabiona on a trip to Provo Tuesday. INJURES EYE Mrs1. Mary Bowden received word last week that her grand-daughter, grand-daughter, Coleen Bowden daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charley Char-ley Bowden, of Bonanza, was seriously injured when sne ran a caliper in her eye, injuring the eye bail. It isn't known at present pres-ent if she will lose the sight of her eye. She is in a Salt Lake-hospital. Lake-hospital. ' T Mr. and Mrs. Elmo Anderson and son, Wesley, of Ioka. called on Mrs. Mary Bowden Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Lester Maxfielu went to Provo Friday to bring their son, Perry, a student at the B Y U. home for the Christmas Christ-mas holidays. The Mutual had a Christmas party Tuesday night. Many Christmas songs and carols were sung and dancing was enjoyed by a large crowd. Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Bowden and Mrs. Mary Bowden were, called to Salt Lake City by the serious illness of their sister and daughter, Mrs. Theresa Anderson. Ander-son. Mrs. Anderson has rheumatic rheu-matic fever and pneumonia. They went out Monday, returning return-ing home Tuesday. Mrs. Elmo Anderson, of Ioka, accompanied them. Mr. and Mrs. Louis Reese, son Jack, daughter, Jill, and Mrs. Dallas Ames made a trio to Salt Lake City Wednesday to visit and do Christmas shopping |
