Show Obituary CLARA B. BARTLETT Funeral services for Clara Bingham Bartlett were held Wednesday at the Tridell ward Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Bishop Darrell Goodrich conducted the services. The program was as follows: Song, "Sister Thou Was Mild and Lovely," sung by the choir; invocation was offered by Parley Par-ley H. Goodrich; song, "Beyond the Sunset," Mr. and Mrs. Rex Taylor; speakers at the services were Bishop Darrell Goodrich, Martha Morrill gave the life history of Mrs. Bartlett, and President Jessie A. Haws; Lloyd Morrill, a grandson, sang, "The Prayer Perfict;" the closing song was "Sometime We'll Understand," Under-stand," by the choir; benediction, benedic-tion, Lester Bingham. Pallbearer Pallbear-er were grandsons, Max Morrill, Blayne Morrill, Mark Bartlett, Clyde Bartlett, Stanley Morrill and Lawrence Morrill. Interment Inter-ment was in the Vernal Cemetery Ceme-tery under the direction of the Vernal Mortuary. Mrs. Bartlett was born April 19, 1878 at Huntsville, Utah, in Weber County. She was the daughter of Thomas and Margaret Mar-garet Gfrorer Bingham. When a small child she moved with her parents to the Uintah Basin and settled in Dry Fork, then moved to Maeser. On June 6, 1895 she married George Henry Bartlett in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. In 1904 they came to Tridell to make their home, and lived here until 1925 when they moved to Vernal for several years. In 1941 they returned to Tridell to make their home. Mr. Bartlett preceded her in death on May 5, 1947. Mrs. Bartlett was the mother of 12 children, 9 of whom survive her. Survivors are: Elizabeth Morrill, Alice Morrill, Keren McKee, Charles O. Barlett (now serving and LDS mission in Northern Calif.), and Lester H. Bartlett, all of Tridell; Anna Lyman, of Salt Lake City; Bernice Cox, Lovell, Wyoming; Laura Gray, Provo, and Gertrude Turner, of Jensen; She is also survived by 11 brothers and sisters: Fred G. Bingham, Lester Bingham, Annie An-nie Dudley, Vilate Hodgkinson, of Vernal; Francis Bingham, Ma-grath, Ma-grath, Canada; George S. Bingham, Bing-ham, American Fork; Maggie Billings, Salt Lake City; Keren Hacking, Cedar Valley; Edna Allred, Logan; Rosettha Verner, Orem, and Edwin Bingham, of Charles, Montana. She is survived sur-vived by 53 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren. Mr. and Mrs. Elliss Morrill and family visited Saturday and Sunday in Salt Lake City and Provo. Wanda Ann Morrill, who has been visiting the past week in Provo. returned home with them. Eldred Wilson visited last week in Tridell with his father John T. Wilson. While here he enjoyed a few days fishing trip in the mountains. |
