Show Flowers, Theme Of MIA Meet An evening devoted to flowers flow-ers was on the MIA agenda for last Tuesday evening. Many beautiful bouquets were displayed, display-ed, and a program on various phases of the subject were given by the group. Short talks were given by Emma Oberhansley, Lois Hutcheon, Delma Bastian, and Lilian Wilkerson. A musical trio by Allen and Laren Wardle and Gerald Dye. and singing of songs, with flowers as the themes by the congregation-Red, congregation-Red, white or blue ribbons were awarded to the bouquets by Grace Dye" and Lois Hutcheon. There were lated presented to the elderly people of the ward. Mr. and Mrs. Evan Olsen and small sons are welcoming their friends at their home here, that they recently purchased from Reid Taylor. Former residents of Ballard, the family will be a welcome addition to Neola ward. Mr. and Mrs. Royal Horrocks made a business trip to Price last week. I Enjoying the cool breezes from the Uintas is Mrs. Fred Zimmerman, who arrived here last week to spend a month with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jay Larsen. Mr. Zimmerman will join her for a visit with friends and relatives before the couple return to their home in Dallas, Texas. Mrs. Ferris Henrie and son Ruel returned home last Friday after visiting in Murray and Salt Lake City. They were accompanied ac-companied by Mrs. Vida Zager of Murray, sister of Mr. Henrie. She returned to' her home Saturday, Sat-urday, taking with her Charlotte Char-lotte Henrie, who will visit there for a few days. Mrs. Helen Williams of St. George spent a few days at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Neill Jensen. Jen-sen. The following people attended the funeral services for Mrs. Eda Reid, which were held in Vernal last Friday: Mr. and Mrs. Joe Duncan, Mr. and Mrs. Leland Peterson, Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Peterson, Mr. and Mrs. Thad Wilkerson, Mr. and Mrs. James O. Peterson and Mrs. Samantha Peterson. Little Cheryl Lynn Peterson celebrated her fifth birthday with a number of small friends helping to make the occasion a happy one. Games, cake, punch and icecream were enjoyed, a gift of balloons and bubble gum for each one at the end of the party. Mrs. Cleo Stephensen and her small daughter of Duchesne visited vis-ited here last week at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Thad Wilkerson. Visiting at the Nephi Smith-son Smith-son home is Mrs. Zina Johnston of Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Crozier made a business trip to Salt Lake City last Monday taking their son, Dennis, for medical attention. |
