Show Mrs. Ellen Bracken Chosen Queen Miss Joanne Todd was chosen as the Queen for the TJ.B.I.C. Votes were cast at the dance at Victory Park Friday evening. Mrs. E. C. Coston and daughter, daugh-ter, Mrs. Wm. Young, of Vernal, were callers at the homes of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bingham and Mr. and Mrs. George Bracken on Thursday afternoon. Mrs. Erna Stolla was confined to the Roosevelt Hospital several sever-al days last week with the flu. Mrs. Mont S. Poulson, of Duchesne, Du-chesne, and daughter, Joan, were visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Karl Shisler, on Tuesday. Mrs. Charles Bingham accompanied accom-panied Mrs. Erma Harris, of Myton, and Mrs. Ivy Harris, of Roosevelt, to Randlett on Thursday, Thurs-day, where they visited with Mrs. Frank McMullin. Mr. and Mrs. Vaughn Simper and family attended funeTal services ser-vices for Mrs. Simper's grandmother, grand-mother, Mrs. Clara Bartlett, at Tridell, on Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Winn and Mrs. Dora Powell, of Richfield, visited at the home of their brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Lonnie Winn last week, also' visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Angus Anderson. Ander-son. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Labrurn, from Midvale, have been recent re-cent visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Angus Anderson. A large group participated in the Talent Show at M.I.A. on Tuesday night. Raymond Eldredge and daughter, daugh-ter, Bette, took Mr. and Mrs. Glen Eldredge to Salt Lake City on Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Evan Olsen and family have sold their farm in the Ballard ward and have bought the Reed Taylor home in Neola. We regret losing the Olsens, as they were both good workers in ward organizations, but wish them success in Mieir new home. Mrs. Howard Dean, of Salt Lake City, has been visiting with the Deans at Independence. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Hatch and family and Max Rasmussen returned re-turned recently after enjoying a vacation spent at the Yellowstone Yel-lowstone National Park. Little Linda Lundberg and Shirley Winn spent two weeks in Logan with relatives, returning return-ing to their home this week. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Walker and two children, of Ogden, were callers at the home of Mrs. Walker's sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Dean Frand-son. Frand-son. Word has been received that Mrs. Pearl Jenkins, who has been very ill in a Salt Lake hospital, is somewhat improved. Mrs. Eula Perry and Mrs. Mamie Curtis, of Salt Lake City, have been recent visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. S. A. Brighton. Mr. and Mrs. Alden White and family atended the funeral services of Merlin Anderson at Orem on Tuesday. Mr. Anderson Ander-son was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Anderson, a brother of Mrs. White. Merlin was drowned on the 24th of July. Wendel Johnson made a business busi-ness trip to Salt Lake City on Thursday. George Bracken is employed with carpenter work with his son Duane of Roosevlt. They have just completed a garage for George Taylor. Mrs. Karl Shisler has been chosen as a teacher in Sunday School, to assist in the Cradle class. Mrs. Cecil Jenkins has been caring for the two small children child-ren of Mr. and Mrs. Garn Bodily Bod-ily of Salt Lake City while Mrs. Bodily was with her mother, Mrs. Pearl Jenkins at the hospital hos-pital in Salt Lake City. Mrs. George England of Salt Lake City was a visitor at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bingham on Friday. Mrs. England Eng-land was an early pioneer of Alterra. |
