Show Clayton lluber Is Delegate To Youth Conference Clayton Huber, senior at Union High School and high honor student stu-dent throughout his four years, has been selected to represent his school as a delegate to the Eighth Annual Youth Confrence, spon-sord spon-sord by" the Salt Lake Rotary Cl.ub. Dates of the conference are April 14, 15 and 16. Clayton has been active in various var-ious phases of the school's program, pro-gram, and besides being among the top five honor students, has been an outstanding athlete. He was quarterback two years on the football foot-ball team, and a guard for two seasons on the Cougar basketball team He recently was voted a co-captain co-captain of the basketball, squad. Top high school senior boys from all of Utah's high schools are invited to the conference. Each boy will live with a Rotarian during dur-ing his stay in the city, and will participate in conference programs and scholarship contests. They will also be shown the featured spots of the city. Delegates since Union was established' es-tablished' in 1952 are as follows: Narvol Hanson and Gwen Bodily, 1952 (two delegates were allowed representing Roosevelt and Alterra High Schools which had been marged).;, Kenneth Nickell, 1953; Craig Hutchings, 1954, and Rulon Gilbert, 1955. Clayton was freshman class president; secretary of the student body last year and is the president of the Roosevelt chapter of Future Fu-ture Farmers of America, and has served as secretary of the FFA. |
