D Shaw, was given Wednesday evening by the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Max Nelson. Doug Brown was master of ceremonies ceremon-ies for the following program: songs, Rosalie Brown, Erma Ar.-derton, Ar.-derton, Mathew Foley, Beth and Hazel Brown, and a "Look into the Future" by Donna Brown. The Misses Arlene Parry, Lo-ene Lo-ene Powell, Larene Adams, and Marilyn Mower were in charge of the gift room. Aunts of the bride, Mrs. Ive Powell. Verda Nelson and Enid Nelson, served during the evening. The dining table was covered with a lace cloth and featured a three-tiered wedding cake. The young couple received many beautiful and useful gift. Everyone enjoyed dancing to Tal Wardle's orchestra. Mr. and Mrs. Shaw were mat-ried mat-ried June 12 in the Salt Lake L D S Temple. Pvt. Jimmy Parry is home oh furlough. He has been stationed at Fort Ord, California, and will report for duty at Camp Kelmer, New Jersey at the termination term-ination of his furlough. We were privileged to hear two returned missionaries speak Sunday evening, Howard Todd and Glen Eldridge. Mrs. Margaret Boren has been visiting in Delta, Colorado, with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Duane Shawl. Visitors at the Robert Alexander Alex-ander home Friday night were Mr. and Mrs. Dorval Dobson, of Sacramento, Calif., Jack Mc-Cowan, Mc-Cowan, of Stockton, Calif., and Mr. and Mrs. Lee Blanchard and children, and Mr. and Mrs. Howard How-ard Crapo. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Johnson entertained last week in compliment compli-ment to their relatives, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Summers and family, of Anaconda, Montana, and Mrs. Vera Wallace, of Pocatello, Ida. Ira Pace, of Neola, visited Mr and Mrs. Wm. Blanchard Sunday Sun-day and attended Sunday School and Sacrament meeting here. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Pritchet. of Long -Beach, California, visited vis-ited Mr. and Mrs. Frank Thompson Thomp-son last week. The immediate families of Mr. and Mrs. A. D Shaw gathered at their home Thursday to cut their wedding cake. Other refreshments re-freshments were also served. Phil Thompson has gone t" Steamboat Springs, Colorado, to work as a jockey for the summer. Mrs. Mabel Campbell and family and Mrs. Minerva Hul-linger Hul-linger are visiting Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Parry. Henry Litster, of Bountiful, visited over the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Mower. Lynn Mower left Sunday for Richmond, Utah. Cleo Crow, along with Mr and Mrs. Chuck Crow, of Riv-erton, Riv-erton, Wyoming, and Mr and Mrs. Lloyd Crow, returned home last week from a vacation trip to the Black Hills of Dakota Visitors at the Melvin Parry home Sunday were Mrs. Mablo Campbell and family. Mrs Minerva Mi-nerva Hullinger, Mrs. Hanna Parry, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Hullinger Hul-linger Gordell Powell. Sandra Powell, Delmer Hamblin and Colleen Blanchard. The Misses Karen Nelson and Sharon Shaw entertained Sunday Sun-day at a birthday party in honor hon-or of Cheri Nelson. Present for the occasion were Inez Brown Janice Powell, Naomi Adams' and Mary Dale Hamblin. Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Johnson, of Arcadia, visited in Montwel Sunday. Mr. and Mrs Glade Richardson, Richard-son, ' of Roosevelt, visited in Monarch Sunday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Roberts visited vis-ited Mr. and Mrs. Bill Blanchard Monday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Hunt and family, and Mr. and Mrs. Bill Blanchard and family enjoyed a picnic in the canyon Sunday. |
