Show Bigger Than '51 . Fireworks Feature July Fourth Show The entire Uintah Basin has indicated it is waiting in anticipation antici-pation for the second annual July Fourth fireworks display that is on schedule for 9 o'clock on the night of July 4. According to Floyd Peterson, president of the Roosevelt Kiwanis Ki-wanis Club, sponsors of the pa triotic observance of Indeper.- dence Day, the show this year is expected to be bigger and bet-' ter than last year and people! generally acclaimed it the most spectacular program ever wit-! wit-! nessed in the Basin. I Several committees have been I working on the affair, and dur-i ing the past week business houses hous-es have made contributions toward to-ward the project in exchange for a sign to post in their windows win-dows designating the amount they gave. Cars as they enter the rodeo grounds will have an opportunity to make a contribution contribu-tion to the program the Ki- wanis Club is not sponsoring the project to raise money just to I break even. The actual show is expected to last approximately one and one-half hours. Some special mu- sic and preliminary activities are planned in advance of the display that will begin at about 9 o'clock when it is dark. |
