Show r.lyton Mrs. Qrace Dalgleish The American Legion and Auxiliary, Wm. R. Sands Post and Unit 5, held their regular meeting at the barracks, Friday evening. Commander Orval Gil-len Gil-len was in charge of the Legion meeting while President Grace Dalgleish conducted the Auxiliary Auxil-iary session. The regular order of business and committee reports re-ports was completed by discussion discus-sion of special Christmas plans. Mr. and Mrs. Grant Fredrick-son Fredrick-son were honored at a reception Friday evening at the Myton ward chapel when friends gathered gath-ered to extend good wishes to the newlyweds. About 75 guests enjoyed a program, dancing and refreshments. The bride is the former June Anna Snyder, daughter of Mr. ancr Mrs. Reuben Snyder, of Myton. The bridegroom is a son of Mrs. Gertrude Fredrickson, of Roosevelt. The young couple are making their home at Roosevelt. Frances and Howard Funk, who are attending Wasatch Academy Acad-emy at Mt. Pleasant arrived Friday Fri-day for the holidays. As the special spe-cial bus carrying Wasatch students stu-dents stopped at the Funk home the Myton group was greeted by parents who had all gathered there to meet their children. A buffet supper was then enjoyed by the jolly crowd before they left for their separate homes. Other students wno reiurnea ior the Christmas vacation were Helcne Hemphill, Philip Todd.l Fredricka Dart and John Bab-cock. Bab-cock. Gus Solmonson was rushed to a Salt Lake hospital last week. His nephew John Solmonson took him out, accompanied by Mrs. Solmonson. Latest reports are that he may be able to return re-turn home in time for Christmas. Max Morrill, Neal Murray and George Dodge returned Friday Fri-day evening from a business trip to Salf Lake City. While there Mr. Dodge received a check-up at the Veterans hospital. Richajrd Taylor and David Lyons, Ly-ons, of Salt Lake, were overnight over-night guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Hatch. Friday. Mrs. Hatch and children accompanied accom-panied them to Salt Lake Saturday, Satur-day, returning home Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Harris and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Giles returned Friday from a 2-week trip to Lyman, Ohio where they picked up two school busses for the Duchesne Du-chesne county school district. They visited in Illinois with Mrs. Harris relatives on their return trip. They report excellent weather wea-ther throughout the entire trip. Mr. and Mrs. Ted Monks and Mrs. Frank Monks returned Sunday Sun-day from a trip to Logan to get Marguerite Monks who is attending attend-ing the U S A C. Miss Monks will spend the Christmas vacation vaca-tion with her parents. Louis Uresk, a student at the USAC at Logan has arrived to spend the holidays with Kis parents. par-ents. Mr. and Mrs. Matt Uresk. Mary Lee Mortenson is also home from the USAC to spend the holidays with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. S. F. Mortensen. |
