Show Class Of Forty Confirmed At Emission Ceremony One of the largest confirmation confirma-tion classes in the history of St. Elizabeth's Mission at Whiterocks received the ordinances of the Episcopal church on December 20. Class instruction has been in progress since September under the direction of Rev. Joseph Hogben, vicar of St. Elizabeth's. The class included 40 members from Whiterocks, Randlett, Ouray Ou-ray Bridgeland and Myton. The Rt. Reverend Stephan C. Clark, Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Utah administered the sacrament of the Holy Confirmation. Confir-mation. Also participating in the ceremonies was the Rev. W. W. Wolfe, vicar of St. Paul's at Vernal, Ver-nal, who, a number of years ago, was in the service of the Episcopal Episco-pal church at Whiterocks; and Daisy Kitchen, C.A., recently assigned to St. Elizabeth's. Monday's confirmation was the first to Include candidates from both St. Elizabeth's and the Mission of the Holy Spirit at Randlett. Following the confirmation, Bishop Clark cited the long history his-tory of St. Elizabeth's Mission and its service to the Ute Indians since the Episcopal church was invited, 50 years ago, to become the official church to administer to the tribe. |
