Show I I I , FAIRVIEW j By Special Corespondence The Fairview Poultry Association ! was reorganized at a meeting held in the high school Monday evening. Hyrum Mower was elected president. Orin Barker, vice president; George Day, secretary-treasurer; Floyd Young cmd Linden Christensen, members of the board. Mr. Jensen of the egg grading station sta-tion at Manti was present and gave a talk on improving the flock, and working for a better grade of eggs. An excursion was planned for the poultry producers of Fairview to visit Manti on Saturday March second. All poultry raisers being invited to attend. at-tend. Several poultry men and their flocks, also the hatcheries will be visited vis-ited at Manti. The Elders Quorum of Fairview South Ward was reorganized at the Priesthood meeting Tuesday evening. Aaron Cheney was sustained as president presi-dent with Heber Mower and Otis Nielson as counselors, Randall Turpin as secretary-treasurer. At a meeting held at Mrs. H. M. Rasmussen's Wednesday, the Fairview Service Star Legion was reorganized. Mrs. Earl Christensen was sustained as president, Mrs. Richard Mills as first vice-president; Mrs. Stella Ol-lerton, Ol-lerton, second vice-president; Mrs. Vern Jensen, secretary-treasurer; Mrs. Jack Stewart, assistant secretary. They have planned a dancing party for March 15. Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Knudsen of Bingham announce the arrival of a baby boy this week. Mrs. Knudsen was formerly Miss Gwendola Christensen Chris-tensen of Fairview. The Lions Club held their regular meeting and banquet Thursday. Twenty Lions and their ladies were present. Community singing under the direction of Jesse L. Young, two readings by Miss Inez Jepson. piano solo by Mrs. Alice Young, were included in-cluded in the program. A social hour and dancing followed. Mrs. Sam Christensen is visiting her daughter, Mrs. Elmer Knudsen in Bingham. A baby girl is announced at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bruce South-worth South-worth of Phoenix. Arizona. Mrs. Southworth was formerly Miss Nola Day of Fairview. |
