Show Mt. Pleasant Woman's Club Has First Meeting The first meeting of the Mount Pleasant Woman's club was held Saturday afternoon at the First Presbyterian church and consisted of a reception from two to three p. m. followed by a program and election of officers. In the receiving line were the presidents of the five clubs and its temporary chairman, they were: Mrs. S. M. Ericksen, Twentieth Twen-tieth Century; Mrs. Mary L. Davis, Dav-is, O. S. A.; Mrs. Paul Monsen, Acme Literary; Mrs. E. G. Brunger, Brun-ger, Home Culture; Mrs. Bert E. Peterson, Junior Literary; Mrs. H. C. Jacobs, Mt. Pleasant Woman's Wom-an's club. The program included: Community Com-munity singing, "America," and ladies chorus, "Kentucky Babe," directed by Mrs. R. D. Jones; baritone solo, Ernest Brunger; piano duet, Mrs. Chesley P. Seely and Mrs. J. F. Larsen; short address, ad-dress, explaining the aims and objectives of the new club, Mrs. H. C. Jacobs; two minute talks, the five club presidents. Election of officers resulted as follows: President, Mrs. H. C. Jacobs; first vice president, Mrs. T. M. Keuseff; second vice president, presi-dent, Mrs. Joseph Matson; secretary, secre-tary, Mrs. R. D. Jones; treasurer, Mrs. Seymour Jensen; board of governess, acting presidents of the five incorporated clubs. The next meeting of the club wiU .be held in March. |
