Warner, assistant poultryman of the Agricultural College Col-lege and county agent Stott. The figures given below tell the story of the findings and we can justly conclude con-clude that all of the other flocks in the county, on an average, need culling cul-ling just as badly aa these needed it. There were 1 304 good hens, anj Sift culls, in all the demonst rat ions, w itii 3 12 people attending the several demonstrations held. The above figures reveal the tart that 40 per cent of the hens In the 16 (looks culled in it different com-munities com-munities were culls. They were tivcrane flocks. From our past experience ex-perience in culling we know that the. hens taken out as culls were si a r-hoa rders and were not worth their feed. F.ach of the 34 2 people who attended the demonst rat ions handled a number of good hens and also culls, so that the majority of them are able lo po home and cull i In ir own llocks. In fai l (he most of those present made a promise to do so. Can we safely conclude tint I he 4 0 per cent of the Sa.Oinl hens that ire owned in Sanpete are culls It so those 34.IMIO culls are wasting annually an-nually about that many thousands nf bushels of grain.
