Show 1924 Exposition To Be Utah's Best, Says Wm. D. Sutton Wm D. Sutton, manager of the Utah State Fair, bcli es that the forthcoming exposition, October 1 to 8, will be the best and the most representative rep-resentative the state has ever prepared pre-pared for the diversion and education of its citizens. Every department of the fair will be taxed to the hunt of its capacity to adequately display the entries that will be secured by the . opening date. t The horticultural and agricultural ' building will be a gorgeous scene of ! farm and orchard fertility, exhibiting in artistic booths the best products of the soil. Competition for the conn- ty awards and trophies in the three classes promises to be unusually keen. Despite the drought, the farms this season are yielding abundantly and the produce is of a high quality, said Mr. Sutton. Not only will counties and corporations have significant exhibits, ex-hibits, but individual growers will be in with fine displays of fruits, vegetables veget-ables and grains. The livestock division will be up to its usual high standard. It is believed be-lieved that all available space in the modern barns and pens will be reserved re-served long before the opening day of the fair. Utah as a livestock center is becoming more and more emphasized empha-sized at the annual State Fairs. This year will bring together a fine and diversified showing of blooded cattle, sheep and hogs. The pet stock show will be particularly partic-ularly attractive to fair visitors. This is a new department and the best showing of pet stock ever seen in Utah will be assembled. This depart- mcnt is to have special emphasis on ; Saturday and Sunday, October 4 and - 5. This provision will enable the school children to enjoy this novel j side of the big exposition. Breeders are showing keen interest in-terest in the contests for awards. Last year poultry and rabbits was a big drawing card and this year the show promises to be even more attractive. Farmers will find machinery row full of interest and ideas. Machines will be seen in motion and demonstrations demonstra-tions will be in full tilt throughout the week. The women will be delighted de-lighted with the exhibits of sewing and fancy work shown in the Women's Wo-men's Building.
