Show SANPETE COUNTY FAIR IMPROVES IN QUALITY BE DAYS OF , PLEASURE II : MM jit. Pleasant Breeders Lead at the Show; Horse Racing Featured; Band Music is a Credit to the County. , i Three days of pleasure and profit wire eujoyej this week at the Sanpete San-pete County Fair. The fair ttiis year was better in quality than it tii been other years and one can readily see a keen interest taken In igra'ultural products and lifestock. Tie domestic science department tide splendid showing. This year the exhibit building was on the 5 fairgrounds and everybody who al- ' tended the races saw the exhibits. Mt. Pleasant breeders took the lead in the show animals, both in Rimhouiliet sheep and fat cattle. The following prizes were won by John K. M.idsen at the SanpeU Co-nty Fair on Rambouillet sheep: Tso-yea.- old ram. 1st. prize; year-i:i year-i:i ram. 2nd. prize; ram lamb. 1st izi. i'i 3rd. f.r !- ; two year ok' "" (is. 1st. prize; ewe lamb. 1st. en 1 !;d. pizes; best pen of ram lamb". . 1st prize; best pen of ewe lambs. ' 1st. prize; and Gran 1 Champion ram. a tzi ae; and Grand Champion ewe. sy age. John H. Seely & Sons Co. receive 1 frizes at the County Fair on Rim-toiiliet Rim-toiiliet sr.e-p as follows: 2:d. and 4th. prizes on age ram. 1st. prize on yearling; ram; 1st. and '.Li. prizes on yearling ewes; and i-d. on two-year old ewes. Thev sold twenty head of rams at a goo i irice. John H. Seely Sons Company took all the prizes on fat cattle, their trd being short horns. W. D. Candland & Sons showed in three classes ar.i received prizes u follows: 3rd. prize for ape ram, ti. prize for yearling ewe; and !ri. prize for yearlirxg ram. Charles Truscott sold a ram for good price. The racing program was a good c:e. Horses were brought in from --It Lake as well as other parts of 'he state and entered the races along ith our county horse., The usual attractions on the side Tre there with their merry-go-reond f0r ,he little folkg ' ' |
