Show FAIRVIEW Mr. and Mrs. Hyrura Anderson are here from Wyoming. They came to see his brother, Alviu Anderson, who It ft October 4. for American Lake with the soldiers of Sevier county. Mrs. Anderson intends to remain for some time visiting with her many triends and relatives. C. L. Pritchett and Lew Larsen are Salt Lake visitors this week. Mr. and Mrs. Lewis C. Larsen and Mr. and Mrs. A. R. Anderson are visiting vis-iting the fair at Salt Lake this week. J Mr. and Mrs. Jordan Mower and ' Mr. and Mrs. Hyrum Mower are at Salt Lake attending conference and ; the State fair. Mr. and Mrs. Lafayette Rollins and Mrs. WillnThi .W. Brady are also I spending the week at Salt Lake City. Eli A. Day, Sr., was a Provo visitor last week. He went to attend the funeral of Eariel Day's wifei Miss Ora Peterson, Miss Minta Sanderson and the Misses Eva and Buena Anderson returned from Provo Pro-vo last week where they have been working in the fruit. Mr. and Mrs. E. H. Anderson and Mr. and Mrs. James Anderson, Jr., motored to Salt Lake City Wednesday Wednes-day and will spend the week there. James Bills went to Price Tuesday to report and answer the draft call, as he was drafted from that place. He will go to Washington state for his training. Alvin Anderson formerly of Fair-view Fair-view but now of Richfield, visited relatives rel-atives here Saturday and Sunday. He leaves this week for American Lake, Washington where he will receive his training. He expects to join the Avia-' tton corps and fight for Uncle Sam.l Saturday evening a party was given giv-en at the home of John A. Anderson in honor of Alvin Anderson, who' eaves soon for war. The evening j was spent in music and games. A delicious de-licious luncheon was served to more than thirty guests. George Frank Larsen of Fairview and Miss Florence Brough of Spring City were married October 1. They will make their home at Clear Creek the coming winter. Mrs. Ellen Nordstrom and Mrs. Caroline Madsen are spending the week at Salt Lake visiting the fair and conference. Mrs. Tranny Triplett of Idaho is visiting relatives here. Miss Conda Nielson came from the reservation ind is visiting relatives. She expects ex-pects to stay and attend school this winter. Mrs. Henry Poulsen of Richfield is a guest at the home of her mother, Mrs. James C. Peterson. ' Hyrum Vance, Jr., and son, Glen, are spending the week at Salt Lake. On Monday evening a bundle shower show-er in honor of Miss Minerva Peterson, Peter-son, one of our fall brides, was given giv-en at the home of Mrs. E. H. Anderson. Ander-son. The evening was spetn in games and music. Dainty refreshments were served to sixteen of her girl friends. |
