Idly enlarged, often to several times the normal. The surface becomes wrinkled, the pit fails to develop, and the fruit consists of only a tough skin. Along with the affected fruits we almost al-most always find distorted and enlarged en-larged twigs. In later stages the twigs are killed and the diseased wood turns very black. The disease is easily eas-ily controlled by cutting and burning affected parts. |
