Mrs. Ernest Swalberg returned lo her home at Gunnison Monday alter a week's visit at -Mount Pleasant. Miss Theo Nelson returned Monday Mon-day from Ogden where she has been visiting friend. Miss Evangeline Wagstaff lias gone to Salt Lake to visit her friends and relatives. George Cliff and Willis Tiduell have been spending a short vacation in Salt Lako this week. Miss Mary Peterson, returned Monday Mon-day trom American Foik where she has been visiting friends during the past week. Albert H. Wagstaff and daughter, ; Mary, and "son, StiUiuan, motored from Salt Lako and are visiting with Mr. and Mrs. William G. Wagsluff. Miss Tina Ericksen returned Thursday from Salt Lake City after visiting three weeks with her father, i Judge Ferdinand Erickseu. Mrs. Clark Gibson and daughter, ' Eleanor are guests this week of Miss Beatrice Neilson at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. N. S. Neilson. Miss Aftou Wilson, Miss Ruth Braby, Miss Marjorie Wall and Miss Nellie Braby motored to Salt Lake Monday with Sidney Gee, who came , here to visit friends Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Wallace It. l'elty ol Salina were Mount Pleasant visitors Sunday and Monday. Mr. Petty says that they are growing very line crops in that valley this year. Annie Wanderstead of Salt Lake has been visiting with Mrs. C. J. Jo-hansen Jo-hansen during the past week. She returned to her home iu the city Monday afternoon. Mrs. L. P. Frandscn is improving very nicely since having an operation performed the first of the week at a Salt Lake hospital. Mrs. Frandsei; has been receiving treatment for several sev-eral weeks past. Mr. and Mrs. Asa Reynolds, Miss Nora Reynolds, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Matson of this city, and Mrs. E. Kof-ford Kof-ford of Provo departed Friday morning, morn-ing, August 10, in Mr. Reynold's new car for Hyrum City, Utah, where they attended, August 11 and 12, the Scandinavian reunion, celebrating celebrat-ing the sixty-seventh anniversary of the first baptism performed by the L. D. S. missionaries in Scandinavia in the year 1850. The motoring party par-ty also visited with relatives and friends at Provo, Salt Lake City, Ogden Og-den and Brigham City. The Daughters of Indian War Veterans Vet-erans held their regular meeting August 8 at the home of Mrs. P. C. Lund. The following program was rendered: Talk on Indian Trobules, Mrs. Oscar Barton and Mrs. Knud-sen; Knud-sen; song, Ethel and Lavona Lund; reading from Sanpete History, Mrs. Marie Barton. After meeting refreshments refresh-ments were served. Lavar Averett came to Mount Pleasant Thursday to visit with relatives rela-tives here. He is recovering from an operation for appendicitis which lit had performed a counle of weeks aeo at the L. D. S. hospital. Mrs. Averett arrived here Tuesday. They will return re-turn to their home at Rupert early next week. A picnic party was enjoyed in the south fork of Pleasant Creek canyon can-yon Wednesday morning by Mr. and Mrs.Mj. C. Itasinussen, Zelda, Erba, Alfred, Mabel, Ethel and Christie Rasmussen, Mr. and Mrs. William G. Wagstaff, Evangeline, Virginia, Radford, Rad-ford, George, Louise, Milton, Albert. Mary and Slillman Wagslaff, Mr. and Mrs. Wollertou Brintou, Eruia, Hamilton, Ham-ilton, Lu, Hamilton, Heed llrinton and Mrs. .1. I). Olsen. The day was spent in gathering berries, ami a most delicious luncheon was served. For Miss Elma Noland, Mrs. Hyrum Hy-rum Christensen entertained Thursday Thurs-day afternoon with a kensinglon and luncheon. A profusion of summer flowers was used throughout, the rooms. The gnosis included Miss Noland, Mrs. Camilla Noland, the Misses Marian and Ida Larsen, Mrs. Elmer Johansen. Mrs. John K. Mad-sen, Mad-sen, Mrs. Tressic L.
