Sherman Burton, 14 years of age, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles H Burton, was accidently shot while hunting on the mountain east of Kaysville Kays-ville Young Burton was hunting in company with his brother and cousin, and was on horseback in the timber, the other boys being stationed higher up the mountain. Without warning he rceived a charge ot shot, but it has not been determined which of the boys fired the charge. Six shot were taken from his leg, and several penetrated pene-trated his clothing. He was not seriously ser-iously injured. Salt Lake. With forty-five cases on the calendar, the state board of pardons par-dons granted paroles in seven cases this being the only official form of clemency given by the board. Some fourteen other prisoners were released from fubher liability under the law, on the decision of the board that they had served sufficiently long to expiate the crimes of which they were con-victed con-victed The board denied also fourteen requests for favorable action.
