P. Nelson is spending Thanksgiving at Salt Lake City with Mrs. Bowen. Miss Maggie Petersen went to Eureka Eur-eka Wedneday to visit with friends for a few days. Mrs. Lizzie Hampshire is visiting with her daughter Lettie in Salt Lake City. Martin Rasmussen went to Price Wednesday to visit with his daughter and also other relatives. " J. W. Cherry was a business visitor in Salt Lake City during the past week. J. D. Meyrick was in Salt Lake City last week to attend meeetings of the Masonic Lodge. Miss Veneta and Miss Drucilla Meyrick went to Provo last Monday on a short visit with friends. Oscar Anderson of Clear Creek was In Mount Pleasant visiting with friends during the past week. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Neilson of Clear Creek are visiting relatives in Mount Pleasant. Que Christensen came home this pek from Salt Lake City to spend Thanksgiving with his father and family. Ronald and Andrew NIelson were n Salt Lake City last week. They 00k a class of the 24th Reunion of cotish Rites 1n the Masonic Lodge. Blain Watson came home this week for a short visit, having been to Salt Lake to attend the Teachers' Convention. Lauritz Larsen and daughters Iynle -: id Brenice and son Veru sent to Indianola Wednesday to i spend Thanksgiving jvith their Aun' Gertrude. Mrs. C. F. Kabisiees of Salt Lake , City visited with friends in Mount ! Pleasant a few days early in the . week. While here sue u the guest of Miss Virginia Gilbert. ' John R. Baxter, Jr. of Spring City , was in Mount Pleasant a few hours Tuesday morning before going to Manti where he went to contest the , ballot count for County Treasurer. While attracted by some dashing young widow in this city, Louis Anderson An-derson of Ephraim lost control of his fine new auto as he was coming up Main in front of the Johnsor Drug store in Mount Pleasant las, Monday afternoon and crashed intc jfe of the large telephone poles. Anderson was reducing the speeci just as at the time of the acciden; and the pole remained firm in thi ground. One of the fenders was bad 'v twisted out of shape and the axe' was bent.
