Day, Sr., went to Provo . to spend Thanksgiving holidays with her daughters. Mr. Leonard Poulseit and Miss Almeda Stewart were married :u Salt Lake City, Nov. 9th. Mr. Sidney Sandersen has had his home remodled into a modern bungalow. bung-alow. Ivan Lindquist of Salt Lake was a visitor at the home of his aunt, Mrs. Sarah E. Fowles last week. Most of our students from Eph-raim Eph-raim and Provo are spending Thanksgiving Thanks-giving week at home. Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Johnson and family of Salt Lake City are spending the week with relatives and triends at Fairview. Mr. and Mrs. J. G. Johnson and Mary E. Day went to Indianola to spend Thanksgiving with Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Lassen. Clinton Miner, the twelve year old son of Harvey Miner fell from a horse and was severly injured about his head and neck. Mr. Tim Fowles who has spent the past two years on a mission in England Eng-land has received his release and will sail for America Nov. 27th. I Mr. Martin Allred was called to Wendell Idaho last Friday on account ac-count of the serious Illness of his son Lawrence who was operated upon for appendicitis. On Tuesday a number of officers and members of the relief society visited Mrs. John A, Anderson. An I informal meeting was held after ' which games and music helped to ' make merry the afternoon. Dainty j refreshments were ierved. About 1 twenty were present. I The relief society work meeting was dispensed with last Monday and a number of its members went ar.d visited the poor and those who can not get out to attend the regular meetings. Mrs. Ed. Mower was visited visit-ed and given a few groceries, etc. MrB. S. S. Sanderson who has been unable to get out for years on account ac-count of illness was also visited and a social afternoon spent. Born to Mrs. Anthere N'eff, Nov. 7, a girl. Mrs. Nancy Cox is visiting with her daughter at Coalville. Mr. Hugo Mower and Miss Mena Jrlsksen were maarried last week. Mrs. Alma Miner went to Nephi last Friday. She will visit with her daughters for some time. All the public school teachers will I'.tend the State Teachers' convention Jt Salt Lake City . .Sunday School Conference was held in our Ward Sunday, Nov. 15th. ! James W. Blain, George Chrlstensen "d C. W. Sorensen were the speakers. speak-ers. An excellent program was given also, by the members of the school. Joseph Day went to Ephraim last week to take the M. I. A. course given giv-en there at the Snow Academy. Miss Belva Cox and lone Saunders went to Ephraim this week to take the M. I. A. course given there for the Young Ladles. The course will occupy occu-py six weeks time. The Ladies Literary Club met at i he home of Swen O. Nielsen Nov. 18th. "History of the First Thanksgiving" Thanks-giving" was given by Mrs. E. H. An-'erson. An-'erson. "A .Thanksgiving Poem" by Mrs. Dave Carlston. "Thanksgiving Dinner with Hints and Recipes" by Mrs. P. Melgaard." Music by Miss Mary Sundwall. Sixteen members and four visitors were present and ioyed the social hour and dainty refreshments served. One new member mem-ber was admitted. The club will send some delegates to the convention conven-tion at Salina next week. |
