The stockholders and milk producers pro-ducers of the Sanpete Valley Creamery Cream-ery Company, held a rousing public mass meeting at the Social Hall, Saturday, Sat-urday, October 12th, for the purpose of giving the stockholders and patrons pa-trons of the creamery, a report of the financial standing of the company compa-ny and to find out what the stockholders stock-holders of the company were willing to do to keep the home industry alive and placed upon a good paying basis. Mr. J. W. Annand, who had been appointed to audit the books of the creamery, made a report of the financial finan-cial standing of the company at the close of business on September 30th, showing just what the indebtedness of the company was at that time. He also gave a report of the business done during the first ten days of October Oc-tober under the new management, showing that a very nice little profit is realized for the institution when run in a conservative manner. The stockholders of the company are so determined to make a success of the creamery that they will be willing to sacrifice one month's business, busi-ness, if it becomes necessary to do so, in order to start the new manager out on a level floor. They feel that most of the milk producers will patronize pat-ronize the little creamery and make of it, one of the best creameries in the state. Each day, since the change was made, business has been increasing. At the first of the month they churned churn-ed about two hundred and fifty pounds of butter per day. This has been increased by the loyal support of the patrons, to three hundred and fifty pounds per day. The present manager predicts that the business will continue to increase as the months go by. A new cess pool has been made and the creampry as a whole, is one of the cleanest in the state. It is kept in an excellent sanitary condition throughout and their butter cannot be excelled by any of its contemporaries. |
