Resignation of Ambassador Accepted and Former Governor of Minnesota Will Act as the President's Personal Per-sonal Representative. Washington. Henry Lane Wilson will not return to Mexico as a representative repre-sentative of the American people, his resignation as ambassador to the revolution-stricken republic having been accepted on Monday. President Wilson formally accepted Ambassador Wilson's resignation, to take effect on October 14, and sent to Mexico as his personal representativebut represen-tativebut not accredited to the Huerta government former Gov. John Lind of Minnesota, a lifelong friend of .Secretary Bryan. The understanding understand-ing is that when a stable government is established in Mexico Mr. Lind will -be named as ambassador.
