The ladies literary club met at the home of Mrs. C. O. Peterson July 30, After the usual hour of needle work, an interesting meeting was held. A paper on Sanitation in the home, was given by Mrs. Nellie Carlston, recipes on cooking anfl fruit salads by Mrs. Winnie , Peacock, Pea-cock, a vocal duet by the Misses Ruth and Ruby Pederson, Fifteen ladies enjoyed the refreshments served and the social hour. Laren Allred, son of James Al-Ired, Al-Ired, was taken to the Winters Hospital Hos-pital last week where he underwent an operation for . appendicitus. Miss Vida Jones, daughter of Henry Hen-ry Jones, was also taken to the Hospital Hos-pital for appendicitus Aug. 4th. It was also a bad case. Mrs. Sarah J. Sanderson spent the past two weeks visiting in Salt Lake and with her son in Ogden. Mr. Harry Quilter and daughter of Scofield were the guests of S. W. Mower this week. Mrs. Edna Hopkins of Sevier visited visit-ed with her sister, Mrs. J. H. Sanderson Sand-erson the past two weeks. Mr. Thornton of Manti, who is over ninety years old, visited his daughter, Mrs. C. L. Pritchett the past week. ' Mrs. John A. Pritchett entertained a large number of friends, at a quilting party last Monday. Mrs. Lillie Rasmussen of Salt Lake is visiting witn her sister, Mrs. Frank Cox. Born To the wife of Joseph Garlic Gar-lic Jr. a boy, August 1. Born To Mrs. VinaKelsey, a girl July 31. |
