Show Electric Light Ordinance. An ordinance naming, anc1 providing for the control and management of the Mount Pleasant Electric Light Plant. Be it ordained by the City Council of Mount Pleasant, Utah: Section 1. Name. The electric light plant constructed and owned by Mount Pleasant shall be known and designated as the Mount Pleasant Pleas-ant Electric Light Plant. ' Section 2. Under the control of the Mayor and City Council. It shall be the property of said city and shall be under the sole and exclusive control con-trol of the mayor and city council, who shall formulate a set of rules, which must be spread upon the minutes min-utes and recorded in a book kept for that purpose. Said rules may be changed at a regular meeting of the council, provided, however, that at least two weeks previous notice of such proposed change shall be given. Section 3. Application for Electric Elec-tric Light and Power. Whenever any person shall desire to obtain electric light or power from said municipal electric light or power from said municipal electric light plant, he shall make written application applica-tion therefor to the electric light committee and sign an agreement that he will be eoverened by such rules and regulations, not inconsis tent with this ordinance, as may he prescribed by the mayor and city council for the control of said plant and system; and said application must state the - location, kind of building and number of lights or amount cf power desired; provided, when application is signed by tenant of any building it must be accompanied accompa-nied by the signature of the owner or agent of the building or other place, consenting to and authorizing the introduction of said electric wires upon and into such premises and expressly ex-pressly agreeing to the rules and regulations embodied in the application applica-tion and to the provisions of this ordinance. or-dinance. Section 4. Interfering with Electric Elec-tric Light Works. It shall be unlawful un-lawful for any person, except under the direction of the electrician of tre electric light plant, to interfere wi h any part of said electric, system, either by making connection with the system or otherwise. Section 3. Access, to building? supplied with Electricity. L'sp of Electric Light. Permit. It shall be unlawful for any person by himself, family, servants or agents to use the electric current from said system without first obtaining ob-taining permission therefor from the electrician and paying therefor the -ate fixed, and it shall be unlawful for any person, after electric current has been turned from his premises, or any part thereof, on account of nonpayment of charges, or violation of the rules and regulations pertaining pertain-ing to the said system, to turn the electric current upon said premises or portion thereof from which it has been turned otf, or to use or allow the same to be used, without authority. author-ity. Section 7. Penalty. Any person violating any of the provisions of this chapter shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction convic-tion thereof shall be punished by a fine not exceeding one hundred dollars dol-lars or by imprisonment in the city jail not exceeding one hundred days, or by both such fine and imprisonment.. imprison-ment..
