Schofield went to Rupert, Idaho, Thursday. Miss Olive Mortensen went to Salt Lake Monday. Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Schofield of Mt. Pleasant were visitors in Spring City Monday and Tuesday. Mrs. J. F. Ellis returned home the latter part of last week after having spent the winter at Ogden. Miss Myrtle Madsen returned home from Salt Lake the latter part of the week to accept employment with the Johnson Merc. Co. Alonzo King of Garfield moved his family here this week. Mr. King has leased a farm here and will remain indefinitely. Mr. and Mrs. Lamont Schofield returned re-turned from Rupert, Idaho, Monday on account of the health of Mr. Schofield Scho-field who has been ill for some time, but Is now Improving. The ladies of the M. C. U. C. met Friday evening at the home of Miss Blanche Maxfield. A program suitable suit-able for the occasion of March, had teen prepared and was very much enjoyed en-joyed by the club members. The seventy-fourth anniversary of the Spring City Relief Society was celebrated at the tabernacle Friday, March 17, with president Mrs. Elizabeth Eliza-beth Larsen presiding. Mrs. Hans Nielson entertained in honor of her birthday Tuesday evening, even-ing, March 21, a fine dinner was served and a most enjoyable evening spent by those present who were as follows, Messrs and Mesdames James Clawson, Niels Anderson, J. M. Johnson, John-son, Lars L. Larsen, Peter Chris-topherson, Chris-topherson, Mrs. Lloyd Clawson, Mrs. J. F. Jensen, Mrs. Will Sorensen, Mrs. Alfred Nielson and the host and hostess. host-ess. The Relief Society and the Religion Class officers gave Mr. and Mrs. Chris Anderson and family a very pleasant pleas-ant farewell party in the old meeting house Friday evening. A shqrt program pro-gram was given after which the entertainment en-tertainment consisted of games and social conversation. Refreshments were served. Mr. and Mrs. Anderson Ander-son and family leave in the near future fu-ture for their new home at Garland, Utah, which was purchased last fall by Mr. Anderson. The most delightful social ever given by the Alathea club occured last Friday, March 17, at the home of Mrs. J. M. Johnson in honor of St. Patrick's day. The rooms were beautifully beau-tifully decorated in green and orange-shamrocks orange-shamrocks and cut ilowers, the costumes cos-tumes of the ladies would have made old Ireland lassies green with envy. The origin of the day given by J. M. Johnson would have delighted St. Patrick himself, a splendid program of readings, music, Irish jokes and games furnished entertainment and a delicious buffet luncheon was served serv-ed consisting of lettice salid sand-witches, sand-witches, olives, cake, sherbert and coffee.
